Its confirmed! Capitol Record has officially announced "Slow" will be Kylie's lead single from her new album; "Body Language." Out February 10, 2003 in the US. #08I have high hopes for Kylie. Its not the best song... its quite a big disappointment actually, but I believe she'll pull out every stop to do well with "Slow." I'm ready for the WNC by the way.  |

Fan of Kylie's stuff here, and I all I can really say is that I hope they pick another single when this doesn't do that well overseas.
Especially for the U.S., this is the one market where she doesn't have an established fan base that will buy her stuff regardless of what the music sounds like.
If they release it I don't think it would make it past the 30s.

Capitol Records might be dumb enought to have this song as the first single in the USA.
With her Fever cd, I do not think Capitol promo her the way they could have. The only thing that saved Kylie at first were the radio stations. No Maxi cd single came out or anything.

I haven't heard it, but knowing how radio can sometimes be determined to make an artist a (mostly) one-album wonder (or two) especially when it comes fo foreign acts, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make the Top 40.

I hope they'll make a similar move here. |

Yeah but then I think they should have released 'In Your Eyes' over 'Come Into My World', so I still don't trust their judgement. Well, I'd much rather them release both "In Your Eyes" and "Come Into My World" at one point or another. "In Your Eyes" deserved to be released to the US, much like the rest of the world that got 4 singles released in their territory. |

"In Your Eyes" was released as the 2nd single, here in Canada, anyway.
There was a video for it, and it was on MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic (VH1 equivalent) quite a bit.
It wasn't a bad song, but Love at First Sight was better. IYE was better than Come Into My World, however.
I haven't heard her new song yet, but judging from most responses, I'm probably not missing anything.

Come Into My World is the only Kylie song I like. I adore its video, it's fantastic!!

since i'm enjoying "Slow" i'm also ready to say it won't chart.... but if it was to chart i'd hope for it to go near the top ten
