Does anyone think Linkin Park is saving their third singles to go on Pop/Hot AC? Or they save their most pop friendly songs for third singles? I wonder if they are expecting this to blow up like "In the End." Do they think just because it worked on their first album it's gonna work now?

Personally, I think "Somewhere I Belong" could have done something on CHR/Pop had they promoted it more. (it only peaked at #44 I think)
But I do think that this is a bit risky for the band. Perhaps they just want their rock audience and core base, bu if they expect to continue to grace CHR/Pop, this is not the formula they want to follow.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I saw Linkin Park's latest video on MTV, i don't know what it's called but i think it's the 3rd single off of their current album. I really like this song a lot and i think it sounds a lot like "In The End", it could do very well on POP. Does anyone know the name of the song because i am looking for it?

Maybe it's "Numb", can you tell me how the chorus goes to make sure? Does anyone know if it's going for adds on pop?

I only liked one single from LP's current album There have only been 2, and now 3. I think Somewhere I Belong is more pop-friendly than Numb, but whatever. They seem to be getting Alternative #1s with every single release from this album so far.

"Numb" is way too poppy not to even cross over to CHR/Pop. I personally do not like as much as their two latter singles from "Mentora".

actually, "Numb" is much like their other singles, and if those did quasi nothing on pop, i can't expect much from "Numb"...

actually, "Numb" is much like their other singles, and if those did quasi nothign on pop, i can't ecpect much from "Numb"... The only other LP singles that went for adds on Pop were "One Step Closer" and "In the End". "OSC" didn't make the chart, but is very different sounding from "Numb". And of course, we know that "In the End", which does sound a little like "Numb", was a #1 pop hit.

Despite spending several weeks at #1, "In The End" never did go for pop adds. "One Step Closer" is the only single other than "Numb" that's gone for pop adds.

Well, I think it's their most deserving hit from the album, and there's nothing that won't stop it from the top 10 (especially after Trapt's residence in the top 10). If it goes for adds, that is.
