No one's making the pop chart threads anymore, so I thought I'd make one now that the week is just about ready to close in.......
Beyonce takes the lead right now by 9 spins. I want to see her take a week at #1 so she can have 2 in a row.
Nelly & friends have slowed down a ton....they had a bullet earlier this week! Looks like this song is here to stay for awhile....
Santana will jump 5-4 bulletless (most likely because they are at +8 right now), and Maroon 5 will drop to #5. (All songs can't go on with a bullet forever, you can only have songs moving up if you have songs moving down, too.) So Pink, Maroon 5, and Santana look like they've made that sacrifice.
I doubt FOW can jump over Christina in one day to make #6, they are 154 spins apart, you never know...Trapt is really heating up they're bullet is almost bigger than FOW!
Looks Like Lil Jon will hold on to the #10 spot, holding up the huge Baby Bash/Stacie/Britney/Hilary/Outkast traffic jam. Outkast will make #14 this week (leapfrog Hilary.)
Liz Phair can pass Chingy therefore bringing her into the Top 20, along with MB20! Two great songs with deserving results! :-/Kelly's leaving fast.....'
Holding 26-28 right now, I'm curious as to whether Simple Plan, Michelle Branch, or Nickelback will take off the most in the next week or two. (I predict Nickelback.)
Falling off...... Jason Mraz (recurrent), Gavin DeGraw, Bow Wow Debuting....... Enrique Iglesias (#44), Chingy f/ Snoop Dogg & Ludacris (#43), Eamon (#50)
N&A should look like this: Blaque, O.A.R., Youngbloodz, Kiley Dean, Young Gunz
When does "I'm Lovin It" by Justin T. go for adds?
Recurrent schedule?

I doubt FOW can jump over Christina in one day to make #6, they are 154 spins apart, you never know... It's actually 1.5 days, since the update you're looking at right now is 4:27am Saturday, and the final update is Sunday 10pm, which is significantly different from the Sunday 4:30am update. Liz Phair to jump 26-19?? Nelly should've fallen faster to allow Maroon5 and Santana to move up.

Isn't it the 10/29 chart?
Anyway, go Liz Phair! That was quite the jump! I hope she makes Top 20 this week! And hopefully my station will start playing her in times that are night overnight.
I hope Hilary can hold of Outkast of the #14 spot.
Good jump for Matchbox Twenty, they may have another Top 10 hit! They seem to be slowly gaining again.
Finally Michelle makes Top 30!
Another battle for #1, I bet Beyoncé takes it this week, but you never know.
Santana went down to another bullet 0f +8? :( That seemed to have happened fast. I was hoping it would be the next #1, I even thought Maroon 5 could make it. Looks like the next #1 will be Fountains of Wayne or Trapt. But I can't really see "Stacy's Mom" at the #1 spot.
Well, Britney definitely has slowed down, but I still think she'll get the Top 10 she deserves.

Yay for Liz Phair who could finally make top 20 Also of note is John Mayer, who despite his small bullet could end up reaching #21. Even though I like the 3 Doors Down song better, I hope Beyoncé stays at #1 for the final update just so the streak of no #2 peakers continues. No Doubt, Ludacris, and Clay Aiken should have the top 40 entries this week, knocking out Jason Mraz (recurrent), Maria, and Pharrell/Jay-Z.

Isn't it the 10/29 chart? No. The website will post the chart on 10/29, but the chart will be officially dated 10/31.

Santana's lost his bullet. (-1) He'll still be able to go up to #4 tho, and therefore bests the peak of "The Game Of Love".
Could this finally be the golden week for Beyoncé? I think she's spent more days at #1 than 3 Doors Down so far.

Santana's lost his bullet. (-1) He'll still be able to go up to #4 tho, and therefore bests the peak of "The Game Of Love". Actually, I think that ties the peak of The Game Of Love, if I remember correctly.Lots of excitement this week as new songs continue going strong and some of the older ones are appropriately making their way down the chart. Next week should be an interesting battle into the top 10. Looks like Baby Bash will definitely make it (he might make it this week if Lil' Jon keeps decreasing gains), but the second spot (assuming BEP drops out) will be up for grabs between Outkast, Britney, and Stacie. My gut says that Britney may grab it, and then lose it to Outkast before the update. I have a funny feeling that Stacie's sudden burst in spins is a temporary thing. A similar thing happened with Stuck... I hope Britney can grab a top 10 spot next week or the week after. Even though her gains are more than halved from last week, since Thursday afternoon, her gains have been around 500 or so. This might be a sign that she is not sitting comfortably in medium rotation at most stations and will oscillate from there on individual stations. The more I hear this song, the more I am convinced it is a great pop record. Toward the bottom half of the chart, hurray for Michelle!!! This song will continue its slow build up the chart. And yay for Clay Aiken making the top 40! He has been gaining strong over the past couple of weeks, and now with his CD sales, he should see a boost in airplay. As far as recurrents, Jason Mraz will go this week, and next week, Lumidee will go recurrent. I have the magazine at home, so I can check on future recurrents when I get home.

Once again, Daylight Savings strikes when two songs are vying for #1 where the difference in spins is extremely narrow.
Did Daylight Savings Time help Beyoncé? Shania Twain? Or did it enable the incumbents Uncle Kracker and 3 Doors Down to hold on to their respective #1s?

Yeah, this is the anniversary of my "Avril My Have Been Cheated" topic ("Sk8er Boi" vs. "Underneath It All"). "Rest In Pieces" and "Never (Past Tense)" are old songs in the Top 100 with bullets. Five out of the Top 10 leaders for "Roc Ya Body Mic Check 1, 2" are in New York out of the nine CHR-Pop stations the state has on the panel. If I'm correct, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida are tied for the most CHR-Pop stations on the panel, one ahead of Texas.

The reason I say this is because R&R states that the spin totals are for Sunday through Saturday. But we all know that the final spin totals listed on the R&R magazine match those from Sunday night's Mediabase update. Hence, all the spins recorded today on the charts will be those that occurred on Saturday only. We shouldn't see any affects from the extra hour until tomorrow at the earliest.

So will gains go way up and some songs will regain bullets?

I doubt 1 more hour out of a 168 hour week will make a differce. That's like +0.5 percent more. Meaning let's say "Baby Boy" was meant to have 8500 spins, it will end up having 8542 instead. Or if Britney was meant to have 4200, she'll end up having 4221.

So will gains go way up and some songs will regain bullets? Of course it won't go way up. But it might make a difference since Beyoncé is gaining more and, say, she beats 3 Doors Down by 2 spins. Those 2 spins might have been picked up during the extra hour. JCMF3, I have no idea whether the updates are a day late. I heard some people mentioning it before tho (maybe you ).

JCMF3, I have no idea whether the updates are a day late. I heard some people mentioning it before tho (maybe you ). Either way, R&R's airplay period is Sunday (7 days ago) through Saturday (1 day ago). The 'fall back' happened at 2 am today (Sunday), so the spins that come in the extra hour won't be counted until next week. Therefore, Evan should quit complaining about how Avril might have been cheated. We all got cheated anyway when "Sk8er Boi" hit #1 for a week.

I don't understand how Avril couldv'e cheated last year. The Day Light Savings Time has been going on for centuries and it's not like just last year they made it up durring the week it went to #1. Whatever happens, happens, there is no excuse out of it. So what if there is 1 extra hour this week? It's still part of the week.

for Clay Aiken debuting in the top 40!!! >:( for Beyoncé getting #1 Florida's got several markets. Miami (Y100), Wild 95.5 (Palm Beach, which is turning into a mirror of Y100 since their new PD is the old Y100 APD). Ft Myers, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville also have markets. Not sure if Tallahassee or Pensacola have any though. Does Melbourne also have a market?

The site hasn't updated since 3pm yesterday, right? Looks like it hasn't. I wonder if Daylight Savings Time has anything to do with it. Maybe the extra hour messed up the computer program that updates that stuff or something.

The extra hour will not affect this week's chart. since it goes Sunday-Saturday. It will be reflected on next week's.

Looks like it hasn't. I wonder if Daylight Savings Time has anything to do with it. Maybe the extra hour messed up the computer program that updates that stuff or something. It just updated again. Beyonce is #1 by over 100 spins. "Headstrong" has a +820 bullet. "Get Low" is still holding "Suga Suga" out of the top 10. The bullet of "Me Against the Music" is down to +445, which is just barely over the +444 of "(There's Gotta Be) More to Life". "MATM" will only rise one spot this week. OutKast leapfrogs Hilary Duff to enter the top 20. Matchbox Twenty and Liz Phair are the other top 20 entries. John Mayer lost his bullet, but could still sneak into the top 20 by the final update, since he's only 7 spins behind Fabolous and Tamia. No Doubt explodes into the top 40 at #28 with a >+1000 bullet. Ludacris and Clay Aiken are the other top 40 debuts, sending Pharrell f/Jay-Z, Maria, and Jason Mraz (recurrent) out. Top 50 debuts are Chingy f/Ludacris & Snoop Dogg, Enrique Iglesias, and Eamon. Droppers are Bow Wow, Gavin DeGraw, and Jason Mraz (recurrent).

John Mayer looks like he's done, but will still jump to 21 or so.
Whats up with Mediabase saying that Eamon had 0 spins last week?
No Doubt breaks +1000.........(#1, wink wink, #1)

Whats up with Mediabase saying that Eamon had 0 spins last week? That's what happens when they change titles of songs. They tagged along the subtitle to the song just now.
It happened earlier this year when they separated the spins of "La-La-La (Excuse Me Again)" from "Excuse Me Miss" by Jay-Z.
For some reason, Christina Aguilera's "The Voice Within" is both #82 and #205.

So that song doesn't really have a+700 bullet? That's what i thought! When i saw that i was like "WTF?"
The Ouch of the week goes to Britney Spears who is down to +400! I think there is a huge possibility that Britney might peak at #13 with this huge logjam she is in the middle of. Next week BEP will fall below her but Outkast will rise above of her.
And it looks like "Trouble" is the newest memeber of the "we peaked at #17 club", "Losing Grip" and "Feel Good Time" are the presidents of the club.
There might be a logjam in the 10-15 positions, but there is a sea of unbulleted songs in the 3-7 positions. Is this is a sign that the log jam songs will replace those un bulleted songs in a few weeks?

The 'fall back' happened at 2 am today (Sunday), so the spins that come in the extra hour won't be counted until next week. Alright that's true. The Voice Within suddenly had an extra 100 spins today, because it was featured on Carson Daly's Most Requested on Friday. Go Beyoncé! Maybe #205 represents its should-be position.

Mandy Moore's lost her bullet, but she'll likely get it back tommorow since she debuted on AT40 this weekend. Britney should also see a boost tommorow for the same reason. Here's something interesting I noticed: "Request Line"'s top 40 run: 40-37-34-34-off "Shut Up"'s top 40 run (so far): 40-37-34-34 That doesn't bode well for the future of "Shut Up".

I am becoming very confident Trapt will make it to #1. I knew they could before, but I didn't think it would actually happen. Now it looks very possible!
