When the year begins, and when the year is over? Also does anyone know if there is a way to extend the year end chart the same way the 7 past days chart is extended?
I'm asking because I'm interested as to who will finish as the years most spun artist. As of January through October
"Cry Me A River" + "Rock Your Body" + "Senorita" = 309577
"Beautiful" + "Fighter" + "Can't Hold Us Down" = 297692
"In da Club" + "21 Questions" + "Magic Stick" = 291519
The only song I looked at are the top 50, so it appears that 50 cent will finish as the most spun artist, becuase "P.I.M.P." wasn't added in the total. Christina might be able to pass Justin since "Can't Hold Us Down" is still the sixth most spun song on the format.
But if last December counts on the year end charts, maybe "Beautiful" would be enough for Christina to finish as the most spun, especially once you add recurrent spins of 7 of Christina songs.
So, does anyone know how the year-to-date chart works? And does anyone have a link to a chart that as spin totals for more than the 50 songs MediaBase has listed?

I would add "Where Is The Love?" and recurrent airplay for "Like I Love You" to Justin's total, and then the winner would be obvious and I wouldn't have to lose many a night's sleep over it.

Also, I'd add "P.I.M.P" at least to 50 Cent's total, and "Wanksta" too.
It'll be a close race for the top artist of the year.

The spin totals begin in December (there's more about this in my "Can Evanescence overtake 3DD for most played song?" post). I haven't paid much attention to the trends for "Senorita", but since Christina has a new one out, I definitely won't count her out. If Justin had label credit for "Where Is the Love", then he would've run away with the title.
The Network Mag used to post the top 100 for Mediabase, but they stopped updating back in August.

Only problem with that is that Justin isn't credited on "Where is the Love", and the song won't count towards Justin's total.

Anyway no one knows how to extend the YTD chart. I don't think it's possible without registering. If you add December spins, remember that Cry Me A River will also have an added advantage, not just Beautiful. P.I.M.P. peaked at 4400 spins per week. Door's totals for 50 Cent and Christina Aguilera are only 6000 spins apart. With only about a month of airplay to go, I think 50 Cent can safely claim the title.

As much as I hate it, I think it will be
1. 50 Cent 2. Justin Timberlake 3. Christina Aguilera
I want it to be
1. Christina Aguilera 2. Justin Timberlake 3. 50 Cent
I guess it's still to early to tell though. Recurrent could give Christina a big boost and surprise me.

Is it fair to count 50 Cent in "Magic Stick"? I guess he is in the song a lot. I wouldn't put Justin in with Blackeyed Peas though, he just didn't do much for the song.
I hope, out of those three, Christina wins. But I'd rather see 50 Cent above Justin Timerlake, even though I'd rather not see them both as contenders.

Anyway no one knows how to extend the YTD chart. I don't think it's possible without registering. I've also noticed that. How does one actually register? I remember someone posted a link for the mediabase 7 day charts which go up to the top 150 postions or something (I forget who provided the link). When I click on the link, it takes me to the chart, but when typing the URL separately, I'm told that I need to register as a Mediabase member before i can get access. Anyone know what's up with that?

I've also noticed that. How does one actually register? You can't unless you're directly involved with a radio station. And even then, it supposedly costs several hundred dollars a year.

This is a tough one. I think 50 Cent will win 1st place since we are counting "Magic Stick" even though it's not even on his album and he never performed that song once, but it's still understandable why some consider it his single, so i have no problem with that, UNLIKE Justin and "Where Is The Love". The second place race is going to be between Christina and Justin. Justin's advantage is LILY's recurrent airplay, and the rest of Senorita's chart run (which is falling hard), Christina's advantage is the rest of CHUD (which still has 5500 spins) and "The Voice Within" which will most likely be in the top 30 by Early December. I think Justin might win this one by a little, unless TVW pulls a MATM and sky rockets up the charts, which is very unlikely.
I hope CHUD can reach 100,000 spins by early December (so far it has 83,000) so that way Christina will have 3 songs played over 100,000 times in one year, but then again that goal will most likely be achieved on the Calendar Year End Chart, but maybe not the December-November Year End Chart.
