I still like "So yesturday". It's got longevity with me which most rock songs dont have for me. I wonder can pop get this gem of a single into the top 10.

While I wouldn't really call it "rock" per se....I do think it's a catchy song that I've not yet grown tired of...mostly because my local pop station (Z107.7 KSLZ St. Louis) hasn't played it in a long time...

Same here. Still love it. Hilary's has been in the top 50 with a bullet for more than about 12 weeks now. Does anyone know exactly how many weeks?
I can see her going Top 10 but it's going to be hard with Outkast, Baby Bash, Britney f/ Madonna, and Stacie Orrico holding her back. And No Doubt is approaching swiftly. She would have to hold on to her bullet for another 3-5 weeks. Can she?

I still like "So Yesterday"... and while I hope it can go top 10, I doubt it will with all the bulleted songs ahead of it.

I don't think he was calling "So Yesterday" rock, he might have just been saying that rock is his favorite type of music, but even that buns out on him quickly.
Anyway, I'm not sick of it either. My station is #2 in playing this song and I am still not sick of it!

I'm baffled that people actually like this song.. like, honestly like it. Especially with it being by Hilary Duff, how do you even listen to it without questioning what in the world you're doing? *shrug*

I hate to admit I enjoyed it for a couple of weeks, but I had just been blown off by someone so they could get back with their ex, so I think that's excusable.
That being said, I'm over it, and I can't listen to this song anymore without cringing.

It's a nice little pop ditty. It really gets into your head after hearing it so many times on the radio.

I agree with that statement like no other! Although, most ignorant people will hate an artist, therefore they will never be able to come out with a good song. I hate when people do that.

I still love it. I think I'll love it forever and ever! If someone else sung it, I wouldn't like it that much. I'm only loving it for Hilary!

Hilary Duff is the most annoying, overrated "singer" of the year.
I honestly don't know anyone outside this board that likes Hilary Duff at all. I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to like someone that would never have gotten a record deal if she wasn't already an actress on a Disney show. Think about all the groups out there that actually have talent but have yet to get a record deal. And then Hilary Duff, who has very little singing talent, gets a record deal just like that.

It's her songs, not her. Her voice isn't great, but it's definitely tolerable. Why not like hers songs if she puts out good ones?

I enjoy "So Yesterday"
I do not go into listening to a song looking for amazing vocals... I just want the song to have a good sound to it and I will enjoy it. "So Yesterday" has that even if Hilary's voice is a little thin.

The song is awesome, her album is awesome, she is awesome! It's a great song, no denying. I don't care who she is.
Also... a lot of people like Hilary outside these boards. I go to this down under Michelle Branch message board and there's a whole cult of Hilary fans on there, I'm proudly a member! Michelle Branch fans love Hilary Duff, despite Michelle dissing her.
In addition, SY has gone to #9 on the singles chart this week in Australia!

I've noticed the Michelle fans hate Hilary! And to be clear, Michelle didn't diss Hilary, she stated her opinion when asked.

How can one not like Hilary Duff? She's so cute and adorable with such an optimistic and positive personality. I really like that about her.
I love "So Yesterday." It is a great pop single that avid mainstream listeners have grown to love, that's why it has done this well on the format. I'm so happy to see her gain significant attention with the single and her album "Metamorphosis." I wish her well in the months that come with any other singles she releases.

At least Hilary was the bigger person and didn't diss Michelle's music. If I was Hil, I would've done it in a snap.
I'm supporting Hilary now but I'm afraid to see her on magazines covers when she turns 18 or 19. I can already see her half-naked and saying how she's all grown up now and her songs are more mature and how she cringes when she hears "Why Not" on the radio.

This is another song that is starting to grow on me...
When I used to see the video or hear it on the radio, I would immediately change the channel, but now, if I hear the hook, I have to leave it on.
It was actually in my head all day yesterday

I bet... it seems everyone does that now. I hope when she is 20 she still says she's proud of this album and it was good for her age.
