Anyone have adds numbers for this week? Not yet. Due to the threat of fire, the Hitmakers offices were closed yesterday. Thus, the web site wasn't updated. If they update this week, I'll be sure to tally them up. |

Didn't Madonna go for adds too? Haha sucks for her! I hope "Nothing Fails" flops. If that goes top 10 or even top 20, I might have to kill myself.
The song gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it when opening hitmakers.com

I can't understand how the boring, showtune-sounding "The Voice Within" got so many adds. Oh yeah... I guess they're going by the singer and not the song.
Meanwhile, the most brilliant ballad to be sent to Pop radio this year apparently hasn't gotten many adds. I'm referring to "Nothing Fails." Pop radio on a whole has been improving a lot over the past month or two, but when something like this or Sarah's "Fallen" last week happens, you still have wonder if the sudden improvement is REALLY improvement or just a fluke.

I finally heard "Nothing Fails" and was fairly surprised. I didn't really expect a knock-off of "Don't Tell Me". I mean, it's the best single off her album so far, but from all the hype, I was expecting better.

Wow, Christina got loads of adds for a fifth single! Very well deserved for the song!  I really hope "The Voice Within" becomes a hit, it really deserves to. Doesn't look like "Nothing Fails" is gonna do much...  |

Wow, that really surprises me.. I didn't expect this for Christina, especially with a 5th single, and especially with the kind of song it is.. maybe it does have a shot at doing pretty well after all
And I was expecting Madonna to do well, maybe not *shrug*

Jessica Simpson didn't even go for adds yet and 24 adds! Her show really is helping out.
I haven't heard any comments on Willa yet, but I must say 20 adds is pretty impressive. I'm sure many people were expecting it to just downright flop with less than 10 adds. Willa Ford, being away from the game for so long, is back and badder than ever!!!

All of these adds for Christina don't really mean a lot.
Refering to 'Loverboy's 100 adds (according to mr Hector), but that was a first single and the stations added it due to hype. A fifth single getting 100 adds could be just because of followup purposes. A lot of second singles get lots of adds and fail to chart too. I've been listening to this Christina song and I like it so I hope it does well!

All Access is stating that "Nothing Fails" is most added on their log in page. They're usually fairly accurate. ???

Alright, is there any way we can get the OFFICIAL totals for the songs? On R&R, they say that Christina got 90-something, and on www.fmqb.com they say she got 74. Then I go over to All Access and they say that Madonna and Christina are both "most added". Can anyone post what the real numbers are? I'm so confused! |

I knew " The Voice Within" would get alot of adds. It is a really good song with alot of appeal especially this time of year. I am still predicting a top ten finish. If that happens that would mean that every single released after "Dirrty" went top ten.

"Most Added" is a trick that song promoters use. It actually means a song just made something like the 10 most added list. "#1 Most Added" means the song actually is the most added. And that's what Christina's banner says on AllAccess.
As for the "official" listing, each magazine has radio stations report their adds directly, so they're all gonna be different. We seem to prefer Hitmakers here, because they give a full listing of every station's adds, and we can put together a more extensive most added list from that. Plus they've been on the web since 1996 while R&R has only been including the most added on their web updates since 2002. But R&R is the most widely used radio publication, and has the charts that most of us follow, so most radio people would probably consider their listing to be official.

As of today, Christina is #1 on Mediabase's Taking Off... while Madonna is out of the Top 20. >:( I guess this shows that madonna didn't get too many adds, unless the stations that added her just aren't playing her yet. But anyway, I don't think that's a great sign for her.
