Wow, I don't think I ever started one of these topics before...
Here are some highlights as of today:
Beyonce will most likely hold on to #1 this week. Next week, 3DD will most likely take over the #1 spot. This will be one of the rare times that a #1 song returns to #1.
Within the top 10, both Outkast and Baby Bash are gaining a tremendous amount of spins, but because of the great void in spins between #3 and #2, it will take the rest of this month for either of these two songs to climb to the #2 spot (assuming they continue to gain at similar rates). And of course, Get Low reenters the top 10! >:(
In the 10-20 range, both Britney and Stacie maintain relatively small gains. Britney in particular had a pretty dismal late week, but her gains have picked up in the last day. Not sure why that happened, but if she can maintain this surge, she could make #12 next week as CHUD falls below her. Also, next week, Stacie has a shot at making the top 10 if Shake Ya Tailfeather loses enough to fall out.
Meanwhile, No Doubt has slowed down a lot this week. Next week, they will be lucky to jump just one spot to #14. Unless this song picks up again or maintains its current heading, this song might not meet the top 5 expectations many had for it.
Oh yes, and OUCH for Hilary Duff. Looks like she may be out of the top 40 by Christmas if her trend continues.
In the 20-30 range, Clay, Ludacris, & Christina enter the top 30. Looks like Christina will end up at #25 by the Sunday update. The biggest loser in this bunch is Mya who continues her plummet off of the chart.
Top 40 Debuts: Dido - White Flag (either #40 or #39 if Pink drops... Live might still hang onto the top 40 if Pink falls a lot).
Top 50 Debuts: - Jessica Simpson - With You (probably #44 by the last update) & either Linkin Park or Young Gunz.
Recurrent Schedule For Songs Below #20: This Week: None
11/21/03: None
11/28/03: Justin Timberlake - Senorita The Ataris - The Boys Of Summer
Recurrent Once They Fall Below #20: Black Eyed Peas f/ Justin Timberlake - Where Is The Love? Maroon 5 - Harder To Breathe Santana f/ Alex Band - Why Don't You & I Nelly, P. Diddy, & Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather

What week is this for Hilary Duff?
Congratulations to Dido! I was not expecting her to make Top 40 with this song! What a slow rise to just the Top 40 though?
I wonder where Clay Aiken will peak. I wonder if he will make Top 10 or even fail to make Top 20.
I'm surprised Kelly Clarkson isn't just plummeting! I would have expected her to fall like P!nk once she lost her bullet. I'm glad she's holding on. As for her next single, I don't know what they were thinking. Haven't they learned from "Baby I Love U," "The Trouble with Love" is going to flop probably. The sound just isn't right for pop radio. I heard "Trouble with Me" by Lucy Woodward yesterday thinking it was the new Kelly Clarkson single, not at all. It's sad "The Trouble with Love" is going to get more attention, ut it will still peak only around #28 is my best guess.

What week is this for Hilary Duff? This will be her 16th, so she'll have to drop very fast to not make it to recurrent.

Willa Ford just isn't giving up. "A Toast To Men" is showing those Willa clones (Christina, Britney, Mandy, Kiley Dean) who was "here" before them!
"A Toast To Men" has already jumped past Kiley Dean and Mandy Moore at #53! :o I don't get why everyone was doubting such an empowering song. It's a song with a message perfect for the holidays, the time when everybody thinks they have to have sex.
I think Clay Aiken will go Top 20, maybe higher. My stupid dorm sent back the package of the album my friend sent me just because he wrote "Nupur Lala" as my name. :(

And of course, Get Low reenters the top 10! >:( This may not happen because Stacie Orrico is currently only 5 spins behind.

Can't "Why Don't You & I" be gone already?? It is starting to piss me off.....and all the other songs......Black Eyed Peas (who only has a loss of about -100 right now), Christina Aguilera/Kim, Nelly&Gang, Maroon 5.....can't they fall quicker and make way for newer songs??
Way to go Simple Plan! They make MB20 go backwards bulleted from 16 to 17 as they jump 19-16***. They could leapfrog No Doubt next week too.....that would be awesome.

This is great news! I'd hate to see Stacie without a Top 10 hit!

This may not happen because Stacie Orrico is currently only 5 spins behind. Stacie is really close to the Top 10. The 5 spin difference this morning is much closer than the gap yesterday. Hopefully that's a sign that she can close in before the final update. Wow, when was the last time a teen-pop single hit the Top 10? I believe this song has more substance than the Teen Pop swing of the late 90's, but she still is a teenager with a pop song. And it's really a pop song, not rock-tinged Pop like Avril or Urban-tinged Pop like Justin.

I also think this has a lot more substance than a lot of the rhytmic crap on the pop charts today.

I could see a song and think it means one thing while you could see it a totally opposite way. Am I making any sense?

The sad thing is people don't realize that all these collaberations and stuff are just overproduced as the bubble gum pop people hate!

Stacie Orrico is teen pop and "Beautiful" isn't? Not only was "Beautiful" #1 on Pop for four weeks, but it was also #1 on AC for eight weeks, so no, it isn't teen pop. And it's also likely that "Beautiful" will win a Grammy.

Stacie did it!! She makes top 10, 4 spins ahead of "Get Low" Just think about it, back when she was in the 30's she almost lost her bullet a few times but she has pulled through!

My thoughts for this next week:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1: Despite a one-day gain to help Britney maintain her bullet for a bit longer, it still is looking grim for Britney to make the Top 10 here. The most likely prediction will be Britney loses her bullet in two weeks and loses spins massively like "Trouble did" as they already prepare to make way for "Everytime"
2: A big Ouch! this week for new Top-10 wannabes (with the exception of Stacie Orrico, hip-hip hooray! :) ). With almost every recent or current Top-10 hit losing incredibly slowly, this puts pressure on a number of new Top-10 potential candidates.
3: Christina Aguilera is taking off with her fifth single "The Voice Within" but can we be expecting a massive slowdown with "Can't Hold Us Down" still up there on the charts with two other singles charting recurrents? She may suprise us, but a "Losing Grip" or "Trouble" is also likely.
4: matchbox twenty may be backward-bulleted this week by Simple Plan, and they may be moved back yet again next week possibly by Liz Phair, but with their successful formula of staying power and longevity, not to mention steady strong gains the past few days, "Bright Lights" is far from over. Should they move back a second consecutive week 17-18 possibly, they can surge as much as 18-15 the next week.
5: Liz Phair is on fire, even with "Why Can't I?" tumbling down the Hot AC chart. With her losing ground on Hot AC, can she hang in there long enough to go Top 10 on CHR/Pop? She certainly is the current dark horse.
6: Looks like Nickelback finally got their cue in a sudden growth spur in airplay. Now their bullet has doubled compared to last week and they are going Top 20. Is a strong "How You Remind Me" follow-up on the horizon?
7: With Clay Aiken's strong sales, "Invisible" is far from over I imagine. This single can also suddenly rocket in its gains any moment to +700 or more.
8: So.....when the heck are Switchfoot going to cross-over to CHR/Pop? They have Top 10 potential cursing through the veins of "Meant To Live".
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

woo hoo, go Stacie! She really deserves it, what a great song.
Where did this sudden burst come from? It looked like it was going to stall at #12 or so
I also like "Get Low", but that's ok
Was "Get Low" ever in the Top 10 for a final update? I think it was 1 week, right?
MATM won't make Top 10, right?
when is the actual Pop chart for the week determined, Sunday night? At what time?

Yup, "Get Low," did make the top 10 at CHR/Pop for a week. :) Congrats to Stacie, I think "More To Life," is good but something about it seems a little bland to me. But it's okay, the lyrics are very meaningful and I can truly respect that. God bless her for putting out a refreshing track for pop listeners to hear. However I will be honest. I like "Get Low," better and it is definitely those sinful pleasures and I have no shame in saying so. I'm happy to see that "Get Low" has made the top 5 at Urban, Rhythmic and the Billboard Charts. Plus they got a top 10 at pop which isn't too shabby either. So that's ok if they miss the top 10 at Pop the 2nd time around.

Yea "Get Low" is such a guilty pleasure, I love it.
It didn't hit #1 on Urban or Rhythmic? That kinda sucks...it did peak at #2 on one of those formats though, did it not?
Is "More to Life" eligible for the upcoming Grammy nominations? If it is, would Best Female Pop Vocal be too out of the question? It has such a great message and Stacie's voice shines on it as well.

Hmmm (scratches head), I believe that "Get Low," made #1 at Urban if I am not mistaken. I can't remember if it made the top at Rhythmic.

Yay! Stacie finally made top 10! Whoa at Christina leaping way up the chart! Hope she doesn't slow down. Nice to see Britney get a resurgence, too! :) Dido and Fuel enter the top 40 this week :) Next week, we could see Eamon, Jessica Simpson, or Outkast make it.

I think More to life is eligible for a Grammy nom, it's been released since July. One thing I liked about this song is that it has legs, it's been out for over 3 months and it hasn't peaked yet!

Hopefully "More To Life," would follow suit on the Hot AC charts like she is doing at pop. It debuted at that format last week. She also made #1 on Christian CHR so she is getting supported quite well.
