I'm confused about Internet Radio...several programs exist that allow Internet Radio listeners to record music from radio stations on the net. But at the same time, podcasts are now allowed to contain licensed music? Anyone else think this is a contradiction?

You mean that podcasts are not allowed to contain licensed music? Yeah, it's awful. I imagine when the law catches up with the technology, this will be resolved, but there's no logical reason to not allow compulsory licensing of podcasts, the same way Internet radio is licensed.
