He did another one of these this weekend... the site didn't update, but I do remember Outkast being #1.

For crying out loud, why can't Rick surprise us once in awhile and do a special with a different theme than "all-request", which is a crock of bullsh*t anyway. Does he really think we're stupid enough to believe "Iz U" was the seventh most requested song?
How cool it would be to hear something like "Number one songs of the millennium so far" (though there would be barely enough, but he could include songs he artificially bumped up to the top and also songs that didn't really hit #1 (like he did with "Hold On" on the Number Two special in 1993). Or maybe the Top 40 remakes of the past five years. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who's sick and tired of hearing these so-called "all-request" specials.

It was pretty much just a rearrangement of the current chart.

My question is what will he say next week when he introduces Eamon as one of the debuts? :o. Wait, something tells me he'll rearrange the chart so that he won't have to...

The only way to get a countdown was radio or occassionally Solid Gold gave you an idea and for a while Casey Kasem had a TV show with videos for the countdown.

Solid Gold??! OMG!! That made Rick Dees look like he was scientific. Now THAT was the worst chart, lol! If they had a particluar gues on, they would miraculously make the top 10. They would tape a few shows in a row and you could tell when they were way off in their "predictions". I loved the little dances, though.
I remember when Dolly Parton featured her song "Potential New Boyfriend" on the show, three weeks in a row. Coincidentally, they showed footage off all three preformances in her video, LOL!

My question is how will Casey Kasem intro the song? I'm guessing it'll go the same way as Fuel's "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)". i.e. Casey will only address the song by it's subtitle.

I remember making fun of the Solid Gold dancers even back then. I guess I was ahead of my time. For some reason a lot of people thought slithering around on the floor was good dancing back then. Solid Gold had its moments, but man was it cheesy.
