(Approximate) Top 50 Of 2003

Thought I'd start a new thread so this wouldn't get lost in the ever-expanding "Year-End Top 10" thread.

Since Mediabase's YTD chart has been updated through the end of November, I thought I'd attempt an estimation of the year-end top 50 (or what the year-end top 50 might look like). I used the current YTD update and added December spins where applicable starting with the chart dated 12/6/02. I also went with the assumption that the two holiday weeks will be counted. Seeing how close 3DD and BEP are, those weeks are crucial. If the two weeks aren't counted (as some believe), BEP will easily win the top spot.

I would have loved to have compiled the top 100, but it would've been too much work (For this half, Mediabase did most of the work for me ;) ).

Once again, these aren't exact numbers. I don't know the specifics of how Mediabase (or R&R, for that matter) tabulate their year-end charts. Should be a good approximation, nonetheless.

First of all, you can't use the November totals from Mediabase, because the year-end chart only includes up to the 11/28 R&R chart, which includes airplay only through 11/23.

Second of all, I'm pretty sure those two weeks between years are not counted.

However, when you don't include that last week of November, 3 Doors Down's lead at number one increases, even without the two weeks at the beginning of the year.
