Good question... I was wondering the same thing too. I think it'd be stupid not to send it for adds.

This sounds a little TOO urban to me, but we'll see what happens.

This sounds a little TOO urban to me, but we'll see what happens. Interesting, I think it's more pop friendly than "My Love Is Like... Whoa!" Then again, I didn't get a really good listen of "Fallen."

However, I think that "Fallen," is going to be one of those songs that will get lost in the shuffle. It's catchy enough, but it just doesn't stand out to me. However, I personally think it is still beautiful.

For one thing, it samples an Urban Alternative song and I don't think CHR/Pop has given Urban Alternative a chance since "Rebirth Of Slick". Tell that to the Grammys who nominated "Milkshake." Also "Hey Ya" has charted on Urban and Alternative. So has Eminem. Your definition of Urban Alternative obviously is not based on those two charts.

I definitely think "Fallen" is very CHR/Pop friendly. It has a catchy chorus and the typical lyrics your average Pop fan would be into. Actually, I even saw this in the Taking Off section of Hot AC a few weeks ago.
However, I believe if this went for adds 3 weeks or so earlier than scheduled, it'd actually end up as a bigger hit.

Your definition of Urban Alternative obviously is not based on those two charts. Urban Alternative is not based on any charts. It's a genre used to describe music by artists such as the Roots, Erykah Badu, Common, India.Arie, etc.

When I first listened to "Fallen," I thought it should have been the first single. Was it released overseas first? I remember seeing it on a Greek playlist as I was voting for Thalia, back in June.

This song is so much better than that crappy "Whoa".

I just don't like this song anymore. I see this song as being Mya's desperate attempt at getting a hit.
