Thanks, DuckHead... I looked most of them up manually, but must've missed that one.
And if you or anyone would like to bring those threads up to date, it'd be most appreciated. :)

i did not see this in this thread . whether this is the place to put it i am not sure either. i have seen it on this board before but they have a new link for it as the old one don't work right . this might come in handy for next weeks episode of american idol . billboard #1 songs from 1950-2005. if it dont come right to the charts click on the left side the box that says "billboard #1 hits". www.recordresearch.com/

Is there a way you can see full Jump and Taking Off lists instead of the Top 20 or whatever that Mediabase shows. Like, I wanted to see every song that has a jump, with its respective number of stations, and leaders and starters? Any way possible?

The closest thing you can do is go into your prefered format main page and click on the Move title. It will list bullets in decreasing order.

I was wondering... how do you see past the Top 20 on Hot/Ac. I've seen that both of the Hot/Ac charts (the one more stations and the one with less) have both showing the Top 20. But shouldn't the one with less stations show more than just the Top 20?

It looks a lot better with the golds. Now it doesn't look like they play every song from the past 5 years.

Elvis Presley set the record at 11 weeks with "Hound Dog/Don't Be Cruel", in 1956. That was the record for 36 years, until 1992 when Boyz II Men held #1 for 13 weeks with "End of the Road". Then just 2 weeks after that run ended, Whitney Houston broke the record yet again with "I Will Always Love You" (her rendition of the Dolly Parton hit). It stayed at #1 for 14 weeks during late 1992 and early 1993 and made 1993 the first year where Billboard did not get its very first new #1 until March. Boyz II Men then equalled Whitney Houston's record when their single "I'll Make Love To You" spent 14 weeks at number one from August to November 1994, but did not fully regain their briefly-held record. They did however regain the record, admittedly with a collaborative single, again in late 1995 and early 1996 when Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men retained #1 for 16 weeks with "One Sweet Day"; this record holds to the present. In the near future, it seems implausible that the 16 week streak will be broken; many songs have held onto the #1 position for 10+ weeks within the past few years, but--no matter how massive they've been--they haven't been able to spend more than twelve weeks (Santana's "Smooth", Eminem's "Lose Yourself", "Usher's "Yeah!", Mariah Carey's We Belong Together") at the top since "One Sweet Day".

But you can access it through the interent archive site: web.archive.org/web/20040401214011/http://home.planet.nl/~haan0654/hot100.htmI can't get the link to work right, but if you copy and paste it should work.

I'm not sure why Elvis is officially listed with having 11 weeks at # 1. It spent 11 weeks on top of the multiple charts Billboard had at the time, but it only spent 7 weeks on top of the Top 100 chart, which became the Hot 100 in 1958. The evolution of the record on the Top 100/Hot 100 chart, which began in Nov. 1955: 3 Weeks: Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing- Four Aces (1955) 6 Weeks: Sixteen Tons- Tennessee Ernie Ford (1955-56) 6 Weeks: Poor People In Paris- Les Baxter (1956) 7 Weeks: Heartbreak Hotel- Elvis Presley (1956) 7 Weeks: Wayward Wind- Gogi Grant (1956) 7 Weeks: Don't Be Cruel- Elvis Presley (1956) 9 Weeks: Singing The Blues- Guy Mitchell (1956-57) 9 Weeks: Mack The Knife- Bobby Darin (1959) 9 Weeks: Theme From A Summer Place- Percy Faith (1960) 9 Weeks: Hey Jude- Beatles (1968) 10 Weeks: You Light Up My Life- Debbie Boone (1977) 10 Weeks: Physical- Olivia Newton-John (1981-82)* 13 Weeks: End Of The Road- Boyz II Men (1992) 14 Weeks: I Will Always Love You- Whitney Houston (1992-93) 14 Weeks: I'll Make Love To You- Boyz II Men (1994) 16 Weeks: One Sweet Day- Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men (1995-96) * "Physical" is listed by Billboard as spending 10 weeks at # 1, but one of those weeks was a frozen week with no new chart published, so it actually was only on top for 9 charts.

Monica and Brandy spent 13 weeks at #1....that site is missing alot of songs...for example, for the songs that spent 9 weeks at #1 there are only like 6 listed when I know many that have spent 9 but are not listed(Candy shop, Let me love you, In da club, baby boy)
