Monica and Brandy spent 13 weeks at #1....that site is missing alot of songs...for example, for the songs that spent 9 weeks at #1 there are only like 6 listed when I know many that have spent 9 but are not listed(Candy shop, Let me love you, In da club, baby boy) DuckHead's post shows the progression of the record for most weeks at Number 1. It isn't meant to show every song with 9 or more weeks at Number 1.

What's the difference between then h1r and the h1m chart? h1r is the chart that radio and records uses for their pop chart. h1m has more stations than the h1r chart does like for example mtv. Basically, the difference is that the h1m chart has almost all pop stations while h1r is more picky about which stations they include.

So which one do most people use? For us at least, h1r (since it's the "official" chart, used by R&R).

Due to the tragedy resulting from Hurricane Katrina, R&R and Mediabase have temporarily removed the reporting markets of New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Also be advised that airplay across numerous other markets is likely to be impacted for some time as many stations have altered their programming. Our thoughts go out to all who have been affected by this disaster.

According to 100000watts, WEZB New Orleans and WXYK Biloxi-Gulfport are silent, but WFMF Baton Rouge was not mentioned as a silent station. WEZB and WFMF have been removed from the CHR-Pop panel but WXYK is still on the panel. Edit: WXYK has been removed from the panel. Edit again: WFMF has been put back on the panel.

www.yes.com now has Top 100 playlists for radio stations which is great. The only bad thing is the playlists don't have spin totals.

Just wondering - What makes a song gold?

Gold means older than recurrent. I don't know any consistent rule Mediabase uses when moving songs from recurrent to gold.

Gold means older than recurrent. That's not always true. There have been songs on AC that were recurrent and were actually older than gold songs. The "gold" definition is so hard to quantify for Mediabase. Then again, Mediabase does many strange things every now and again, so we kind of take it as it comes. :)

From what i can tell, they typically move songs from recurrent to GOLD 4 years after they were moved to recurrent. As we know though, there are exceptions to the rules on the charts...

I wouldn't be surprised if there are 4 year old songs that are still "current." Looking at the Mediabase current CHR-Pop chart, "Do My..." by Memphis Bleek featuring Jay-Z goes from 0 to 6 spins (5 on New York City's WHTZ100). Mediabase says the year for it is 2001 and it was from his album released on December 5, 2000. Other old songs on the current CHR-Pop chart include "Breathe Your Name" by Sixpence None The Richer, "Never (Past Tense)" by ROC Project featuring Tina Arena, "Hey Girl" by O.A.R., "Oh Yeah" by Foxy Brown, "Ma, I Don't Love Her" by Clipse, "Goodtimes" by Styles, "React" by Erick Sermon, "Bouncing Off The Walls" by Sugarcult, "Diddy" by Diddy featuring the Neptunes, and "Hit The Freeway" by Toni Braxton featuring Loon.

Conversely, I know at least once a song has went from current straight to gold.

Weird... Mediabase doesn't usually have that many popups. But it may be a problem if you just installed the popup blocker. Did you try re-starting the computer? Sometimes that can help it.

I tried restarting and didn't help. :( Maybe Mediabase just installed some sort of new blocker for outside link-getters, and it only works for certain computers. It sucks, because I've been saving my local station's playlist for a while, and now I do not have access to get the station's playlist info. Anyone else have this problem that hasn't spoken out, OR you had this sort of problem and found a solution of some sort? Thanks for the responces that were already posted, I appreciate it. :) *I do want to mention that I still have access to the national stuff, like the CHR/Pop, and all the stuff below there. It's just the local station I'm having problems with.

If I can get it to work, I can get you the information you are looking for. You could PM me the call letters of the station(s) and I could send the stuff to you.

Actually, this used to happen to me on my old Windows laptop. I couldn's see station lists or YTD charts. However, since getting my new laptop and with other computers, I had no problem.

Nah, it's fine, you don't need to do that. Thanks for the offer though. :) I hadn't scanned my comp for a while, so I thought that maybe they had some bug on my computer, and they were tracking me that way. So, I scanned, got MANY files, deleated them, and it still didn't work out. So, I don't know what other problem it could be. I could try using a different computer in my house, see if it happens there. It's just strange that certain computers have this problem and others don't.

OK, guys, I found another way to access the station playlist, and it's through the main page. No need for help anymore. Thanks FOR your help, though, lol.
