I mean, starting a topic allows everyone to discuss it; telling us to do it in PM is like being a NAZI and putting a lid on it.
If one is busy, one should step down.
Is the Pulse 100 REALLY the basis of this site?!??! What percent of the members ACTIVELY participate in it? Is it even a quarter? This board has moved way beyond it.
If one thinks its about the Pulse 100, one is sorely mistaken.

Okay, fine. Just what do you perceive as "unfair" management practices?
And that's why I have moderators, so I don't have to run the board all by myself.
The Pulse 100 used to have a lot more reporters than it does now, I have to admit.

To be honest, I don't agree with this board being the "official board of the Pulse 100". The Pulse 100 is really the "official chart of the Pulse Music Board".

I don't see that big of a difference, but you're probably right. I was trying to make the point that the two are intertwined and I probably used the wrong analogy. |

I don't think you care about anything but the chart. Yeah, that's why I have over 4000 posts in other forums on the board.  ) You close topics and stuff when you don't like it. I close topics when I notice that they're duplicate topics or going seriously off-topic. You didn't change the banners b/c of the Pulse 100. So we finally get to what this is really about. Look, I'm sorry I didn't pick one of the banners you made, Bob. You know, I could have just said "why do we need a new banner when this one is fine?" But no, I made a poll with all of your choices on it. One of your banners tied with the one that's up there now in votes. I used the convenience factor as the tiebreaker. Besides, is it really THAT important what banner is up there when we didn't even have one until a month ago?! You took away power from the other mods, and they really need it. They really need it for what, banning members? That's just about the only thing they can't do that I can. And I discuss every problem situation in a private forum with the other moderators, and we decide as a group what actions need to be taken. In fact, Josh agreed with me when I said that I should keep the power to ban and discuss each case separately. I'm sorry, but I can't look at every single topic on the board. And again, that's why I have moderators that help me. And for every actual message sent to me about a problem that they would like us to deal with, there are about 5 posts made on here about "why isn't the administration doing this when they did the same thing earlier". That's why we decided before not to have open discussions like this, because it turns into a huge argument when all that really needs to be done is to send one of us a message so we can deal with it quietly. |

I will not comment on my stance on banning. I do think at times it's very lenient and people still act like we're too harsh.

I have honestly never seen a problem with how Matt4319 does his business. I do have a problem with another moderator because I think he is petty, immature, and slightly abuses his moderating powers, but I have brought that complaint forth with no results so its not that huge of a deal. I just try to ignore him (or randomly vent to a friend if he does something laughable enough  ) And damn, the top 100-I always mean to submit my chart and never get around to it. We need a personal pm reminder system Oh well maybe next week. |
