I haven't heard a word on a follow-up to "Stacy's Mom" yet. With the Grammy buzz they have now, you'd think they'd at least announce their next single by now. I'm not familiar with the album, are there other potential hits there?

Wow, "Mexican Wine" is an intersting follow up single to "Stacy's Mom," I like it but I don't think this will help them overcome the huge desire by most people to call them 1 hit wonders.
Mexican Wine is a really good song, but I don't know if it is the most radio friendly song that they have.
"Radiation Vibe" is my favorite song by FoW, but it is off one of their earlier CDs

Fountains of Wayne really aren't radio friendly in general. I think they will be a one-hit wonder no matter what they do.

Yea I definitely see them being a one-hit wonder, regardless of what they release
There was an MTV.com article about their follow-up to "Stacy's Mom" a couple of months ago, and I believe it was "Mexican Wine"

It is possible they could squeeze in a brief Top 40 stint with a follow-up, but I think just like Bowling For Soup, The All-American Rejects and Evan And Jaron, they'll never come close to having a hit of that magnitude again no matter what happens.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

There isn't anything left on the album that is really radio-friendly, I bought the album back in August, but I was really disappointed, it was the worse album I've ever bought, I thought I would find better material on the album, but I was wrong, all of their songs were really boring I couldn't stand listening to it. So I haven't since the day I bought it! I don't think they stand much of a chance for another top 40 hit.

I thought the album was pretty decent actually, but I knew what I was getting too.
