26 SWITCHFOOT "Meant To Live"
This deserves to be a hit. I think this is a good start for Switchfoot.

Nice adds for Switchfoot. I would have predicted 15-20, so I'm happy with the number.

I'm surprised Sheryl is very steady with her adds.
I'm also surprised Mary J. Blige got so many!
I'm also happt Switchfoot got quite a handful!

Crazy that Kelis is still getting such a high number of adds every week. She had a ton before impact and she still got 18 this week, impressive.

Switchfoot wasn't listed on the R&R chart for going for adds. Good for them though! What is the Wildlife song? I haven't heard it. It's nice to see Linkin Park, Evanescence, Sheryl Crow, and Good Charlotte still picking up late adds. Sarah McLachlan gets 4 adds this week, how many stations are playing "Fallen"??

What is the Wildlife song? I haven't heard it. It's from "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy".

Switchfoot wasn't listed on the R&R chart for going for adds. Yeah, I know. Don't know why. However, Hitmakers had listed it as impacting this week so, therefore, I bolded it.

I don't see Enrique Iglesias anywhere........hopefully he'll lose the bullet this week.
When do Black Eyed Peas, Hilary Duff, Blink 182, and Kid Rock go for adds?

Definitely a triumphant week for Switchfoot. I truly expect their Alternative smash to go Top-10 here.
And Mary J. Blige is finally back on the radar. However, her album may be in trouble considering her first two singles were monster flops. "Love At First Sight" and "Oooh!" both collapsed after fairly quick rises up the Urban and CHR/Rhythmic charts for four to five weeks.
This week can't help but look like a disappointment for Alicia Keys. Sales-wise, she is triumpant this week, but CHR/Pop continues to not lend a direct ear to "You Don't Know My Name". 10 Adds is rather disappointing.
Sheryl Crow looks to go Top 30 by early next year, and her single continues to generate strength.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I didn't know "Not Today" was going for adds and was also surprised considering the first two singles did not chart. Ruben got a good number of adds like R and R said he did on CHR-Rhythmic, Urban, and Urban Adult Contemporary. On Urban he's the third greatest gainer and goes 100-40. He isn't on the CHR-Rhythmic chart or the Urban Adult Contemporary Top 20 yet. I'm surprised to see Widelife get that many adds considering I don't of it getting great dance airplay and I don't know if he/she/they have ever charted.

Sincerely, Noah Eaton Noah, I really like your posts! :) It is always rather interesting, refreshing, and intelligiently written. I love that kind of style. It's so great to read! Concerning adds, great to see that Mary J. Blige has received Most Added, it is indeed rather surprising. It is also great to see Sheryl continue to gain as well, I really like "The First Cut Is The Deepest," it is presently one of my favorite newer songs on the pop chart right now.
