This is going to CHR/Pop radio on January 19!
I predict it won't chart!

I also predict it won't chart. It's a good song, though.

I guess they gave up on "Come Get Some." "3D" had low album sales for an album that will have four singles ("Turntable" will promote the greatest hits I'm assuming but is also on "3D").

I hope this fairs at least top 40! It would be an absolute tragedy if their last single EVER flopped. So, i'll be very optimistic and predict

A fitting tribute to the creative mindset of TLC.
Go TLC!
Top 40 all the way.

It's really sad that this song is going to flop. It's such a great song both musically and lyrically, and TLC's real last single. And a tribute to Lefteye. TLC deserves to go out on top! I'm so mad that they're last single isn't even going to chart. :(

Promotion is not in TLC vocabulary. They're just sending this to radio because they can.

Wow! I'm surprised they're sending this one to Pop. We've been kinda waiting awhile for it to be released... or a lot of people have. It comes almost a year after 'Damaged'. It's weird because last year 'Damaged' was nomination for Best Album Track of the R&R message board awards and this year, 'Turntable' probably would have been too!
It already hit #24 on MT40 but I just might bring it back! :)

If I remember correctly, "Turntable" was scheduled to be the 2nd Single from "3D" but a handfull of urban stations playing "Hands Up" caused Arista to change their minds and inevitably killed the flow of singles.
I'm happy this song is being released as a single, I voted my *** off to have this song make the Hits record and the Video is a great tribute to all that TLC has accomplished and Lisa Lopes. Hopefully, people will rekindle their interest in her, once the song comes out.
I hope it goes out to AC, Rhythmic and Urban formats also.

This is fucked if there isn't any promotion, which is most likely. If LA promotes this properly, then this has a much better chance at doing well than Come Get Some. Radio is much "poppier" than it was when Damaged was released.

LA already said in a newspaper article last year that people need to accept that there are new singers now who are taking the place of older ones, and the older ones just won't sell like they used to. (Meanwhile, I hate this guy. Who says that about their own artists? I give props to Toni Braxton for leaving Arista right after he said that). Anyway, LA basically said he's not as committed to his "older" acts anymore. He's only concerned with Avril, Pink, and Usher I guess. What goes around comes around for LA though, in the form of Pink semi-flopping this year though!

Usher was signed only a year after Toni and TLC so that's no excuse.

Usher was signed only a year after Toni and TLC so that's no excuse. That's besides the point. Usher had recent hits, the other didn't. Hence La still made him a priority. Wait, what's your point I seem to be missing it?

Then actually I may agree with LA Reid. If the artist can't produce a hit no matter what they put out, why keep the focus on them?

No. "Dilemma" "I Care 4 U" Those are two examples of songs that were hits without even being official singles. 2 examples really isn't much in the big picture. Nelly and Aaliyah were both the "in-thing" at the moment of these hits anyway, and whether or not "Dilemma" was a planned single Nelly did promote it a lot on the form of performances, media appearances, and a video. So again, work went into making "Dilemma" a hit. Also, if I remember correctly once "I Care 4 U" took off on its own, Aaliyah's record label had a street team or something try to get the song on more stations. So aagin, I dopn't see your point. LA Reid does nothing at all for TLC, just make them throw a song at radio and cross their fingers it'll take off.

They made the "Dilema" video long after it became a radio hit.
I agree that nothing i being done for TLC, though. The "Damaged" video took soo long to be released. It's a fabulous song. There's no promotion. LA really doesn't care about the, anymore. He's not trying. Then again, their new material isn't half as good as their older stuff, so that could explain it too.

"Damaged" was a Top 3 requested hit on KIIS-FM's Top 9 at 9!

They made the "Dilema" video long after it became a radio hit. No they didn't. The video was released after the song was Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Also, don't forget "Magic Stick", which never had a video or even much promotion since it never went for adds.
