Does anybody know what song is no 101 of the year 2003 - the first one to miss the show.

My best estimation: Either "Perfect", "Me Against The Music", "Someday", "Losing Grip, or "So Far Away".

Could be "Damaged"! It did make the Top 20!

I think "So Far Away" and "Someday" sound like good guesses. "Me Against The Music", "Losing Grip", "TWV" and "Damaged" probably weren't around long enough, but who knows.

Last year somebody posted the Top 1,000 or something for the year, but that person wasn't a regular on R and R and probably doesn't know this place exists. He or she said anybody could find it if you know where to look. I wonder if you could go to the Mediabase year-to-date chart and add the part that makes it go down to 1 spin. I tried that and it asks for your Mediabase password which you need to be in the industry to get, but it implies that Mediabase makes a year-to-date chart with more than 50 positions.

Yeah I remember that. I think that person mentioned that, for a short while, he had acquired full access to the Mediabase site, which is how he was able to get the full list. I still have that list. It was the top 1000, which went all the way down to 56 spins.

I believe that person was GF015. He worked at a radio station somewhere in New England, and I believe he still does. I sent him an e-mail, but he hasn't yet responded.

I remember this, but I also remember him or her saying that they had a temporary membership there and it wasn't too hard to get if you thought about it. I'm sure he or she would give it to us if it was a simple url.

Dredging this back up to post my guess. First of all, today I was comparing my list of songs that just barely missed the Top 100 of my chart to R&R's Top 100, especially near the first half of the year, since many songs that went recurrent in January still made. I think it might be "Stole" by Kelly Rowland. I believe that song was number ten as of the first of December and spent about seven weeks on the chart. It might have experienced a steep drop in plays when it was "done", due to the recurrent play of "Dilemma", but still, if "Gotta Get Thru This" could make it with only one week on, "Stole" can't have been too far off.

Interesting, "Stole" was the #100 song ofn 2002. That's right, so had it gotten a few more plays, it just might have kicked off both the 2002 and 2003 year end countdowns (a la John Mayer, who started off the AT40 Top 30 of the past two years).
