Well, on this morning's update, the pop chart is A MESS!!! The Way You Move has a +9 bullet? :o :o Tons of songs have lost their bullets... wow, this is shocking! What is even more disturbing is that tomorrow night's update will determine the first pop chart for the R&R chart year! Somehow, last year I don't remember the chart being this messed up so close to the final update. Hopefully, we start seeing some return to normalcy to the chart, or it could be an interesting chart for sure!

I thought things were suppose to be getting better! Now there are only 4 songs in the Top 30 with bullets, 2 of them with less than +10! and 1 will be a recurrent. Everything should be back to normal by mid-week I hope. I don't remember the charts ever being this bad either last year. However, many songs below 40 have bullets, Since most stations played year-end countdowns and stuff, they may have decided to play new songs when they weren't playing the countdown charts, instead of playing older songs, 3 Doors Down is now back at #2!! This is beginning to seem like Savage Garden's run with "Truly Madly Deeply" the songs has been in the top 3 for about 3 months!

But seriously, jae is right. This is just a result of the end-of-year countdowns. By next Friday, everything will be normal, and you'll all be able to sleep again.

"Fallen" by Sarah McLachlan will probably make the Top 50 in the next published chart! Also, it's astill a good sign she has bullet right now unlike most songs.

Liz Phair has fallen below Staind and is now out of the top 20, so that'll make her a recurrent on the next chart.

If you guys want to get a better idea of what songs are done and what songs will likely pick back up eventually, compare the spin totals for the songs now to what they were on the last official chart of 2003. Only the songs that are down in spins are the ones that are likely done. There are probably more songs that have gained in the past three weeks than you think though.

Well, Mediabase hasn't yet replaced the "last week" totals with the numbers from three weeks ago, so I was able to piece together last week's update. And if I'm not mistaken, no matter which update it is, the "last week" numbers will always be from the final update, so this would be what last week's final update was:
