Yep. Maybe they are updating it?

Probably has something to do with the fact thar they're now starting to monitor Jazz and Latin stations, and they're updating it for that...

By my count, Mediabase has now been down for a good 12 hours, at least. Looks like a "skip week" for the Sans Recurrent Rules chart. I had also hoped to squeeze out one more Christmas chart. Guess that won't be happening either.

The totals were inaccurate for the last few days anyway (at least on the pop chart)... we'll see what happens when it comes back up.

I don't see anything too wierd. A lot of current songs' spins have gone done, and a lot of recurrent songs' spins have gone up. All explained by year in review and year-end countdown shows. The chart will be a little off this whole week I think.

What sort of weird stuff?
Whatever it is, it sure ain't happening to "More To Life". That song keeps on falling and, using guesstimations, barring a sudden resurge in plays, it won't make the Top 40 for the final year end chart (if they post one that runs from January 1 through December 31). Therefore, I was able to start working on my version of 2003's charts (so y'all be expecting my annual guessing game near the middle of January). I'll tell you right now, what looks to be the number one song is kind of a surprise. And the lean towards my chart may be more than ever, as "In Da Club" doesn't even make the Top Five - that is, on the weekly charts! It's much lower on my year end chart than on R&R's. One more thing: tons of number two peaks, unlike R&R's chart. It should be quite interesting.

Are you planning on doing the guessing game again this year? You got it, dude! And I'll bet you'll be the champion like you have been with my past ones (BTW, do you happen to have the guessing game for 2000 from the old R&R boards? I forgot to save that one)

Unfortunately, I didn't save it :( Ooooawwww, sheeeeiiiit! Oh well, win some lose some. At least I kept all the AT40 Flashback topics and CHR Flashback topics and others, including the "R&R Journal" and "What annoys the heck out of you" and so forth.

What sort of weird stuff? Well, the major one I noticed was Jessica's "With You" has lost it's bullet. It's probably because the recurrents are getting airplay now because of year-end countdowns, like someone said. Thanks, Ben
