Daniel kept name dropping Natasha in interviews so she could jumpstart her career. If anything, she should thank him.

I just love that you guys are bringing up her sexuality to bash her. And a lot of singer songwriters do recycle themes and stuff-its getting stale with her. We all know that. Its getting stale with others as well. **shrugs** And her sexuality has NOTHING to do with it. AMEN….it’s sad that some people can’t just stick to judging the music. Ok, you don’t like the song, but to go off and say all that other shit….it just shows a lack of respect for this board. (pretty surprising since one of the remarks came from a moderator)

yep I am just pretty sensitive in general about using someone's sexuality against them. Really, does it get much more immature than that? Thats what immature little teenaged boys say to prove their ignorance. I could never imagine critiqueing someone's art by calling them a male who is into other malesgot or saying they are a washed up homo.

I think the song will be a big hit. I just heard it yesterday and I think I'll like it much more after I've heard it a few more times.
Although personally I think his best song was 'If you're not the one'. That's got to be one of the best songs around and the lyrics are totally amazing.

Her sexuality had nothing to do with this conversation (apparently Diane is more of a nonsexual), but neither did Anita Baker and Ben had no problem bringing that into this.

Here is what you said: “It will also further establish Ms Warren as one of the most clichéd, trite and awful washed up writers in music history”
I mentioned “You Are Everything” because if we go by your definition of a trite song filled with clichés, the Anita Baker song is just as trite and filled with clichés as “Nothing Hurts Like Love.” Anita sits at number one on your personal chart, while you say this song is a “load of crap.” That was the point that I was trying to make….that there must be another reason for you not to like this song.

LMAO, why do you care so much what's #1 on his personal chart? It's HIS chart, "Mary Had A Little Lamb" sung by the Pope could be #1 if he wants.

But Anita did not write the song. Her job is to sing it and she pulled it off amazingly. Diane's job was to write "Nothing Hurts Like Love" and she did a bad job. I'm not bashing Daniel for his bad lyrics. I bashed him separately.

You're right, it doesn't matter what is number one on his personal chart. I think my point was that he had a song that was full of cliches at the top of his personal chart and yet here, he is ripping Diane Warren up for writing a similar song. As far as Anita is concerned...if you look at the writing credits, she had a hand in writing the song. She co-wrote it with two other people. And for the record, I like the Anita song. :)

Yeah exactly she wrote it with other people because her job is not to write lyrics. It's to sing.

Sorry, I am being bad, I'll stop and agree to disagree with you on this one. Hopefully the chart performance of "Nothing Hurts Like Love" will prove that the majority of music lovers enjoy the song!

So because he brought up Anita Baker (commented on her lyrics being similar to Warren) you started bashing her sexuality? THere is a thing in this world called being the bigger man. Believe it or not, it makes you look like the better person

And to all the coments about diane warren she wrote the song and i am sure it is how she wants it to be, thank you!

While perfectly tolerable, this is no where near as good as "If You're Not The One" or "James Dean (I Wanna Know)"

They should push up the release date for this song. The 25th is too far away

Well with the single charts being at record low sales recently number 3 seems like a bit of a weak entry from someone who has so much critical acclaim for his last album. 3 isn't bad, but, I'm sure they expected (or wanted) a number 1 from this albums lead single.
And on the song, it grew on me after 2 listens then after another 2 it was sooo annoying. Those bloody violins are so melodramatic it just sounds unbelievably cheesy.

Can someone confirm this? And that's because his fans in the UK were buying up to 10 copies each, I kid you not. Further proof? In its second week, it nosedived out of the Top 10. I wouldn't be surprised if by week No. 3 is out of the Top 30 or even Top 40. I love Daniel, but this single is utter dross. Worse, unlike his previous album, he got only one producer, Jack Joseph Puig, which hasn't produced anything decent. I haven't heard the album yet, but I hear is a downer... and worse, NOT A DANCE SONG IN SIGHT. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Terrible choice, considering that it was a dance song that broke him and gave him his biggest hit to date in the UK, the US and internationally. FLUSH!

Well Daniel has to grow up sometime…I agree though, there was something magical about his first album. Most likely because he did most of it at his house and “Gotta Get Through This” was very fresh and unique. Often, artists have an incredible debut record and find it very difficult to top on the second album. It sounds like a lot of people in the UK are disappointed by this offering from Daniel.
Personally, I love it! “Nothing Hurts Like Love” is a total smash and although it debuted at number three, it was a number one airplay record, confirming that it was well received by the radio community. I also like “All You Attention,” the song Diane Warren co-wrote with Daniel. I hope it’s the second song.
