#1 on the albums chart this week is Evanescence with Fallen. #2 is Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Delta Goodrem has slipped to #3 after 29 (non-consecutive) weeks at #1. I'm thinking she's seen the last of her weeks at #1 now, we'll see. As it stands this week, her album has spent 44 weeks on the chart and has never gone below #3... amazing!
No new album entries.
On the singles chart, Outkast stay at #1 with Hey Ya.
New entries:
#2 Here Without You - 3 Doors Down #9 The Voice Within - Christina Aguilera #11 Me, Myself and I - Beyonce #14 Holidae In - Chingy #17 Come Clean - Hilary Duff #19 So Beautiful - Pete Murray #20 5 Years From Now - Mercruy4 #22 If I Can't - 50 Cent #24 Figured You Out - Nickelback #25 Jump - Girls Aloud #32 Stunt 101 - G-Unit #33 Stand Up - Ludacris #36 Rollover DJ - Jet #39 Life For Rent - Dido #44 Ladies Night - Atomic Kitten #48 Change Clothes - Jay-Z
Phew! That's a LOT of debuts, way more than usual.

Ludacris should at least be getting a boost because they play 'Stand Up' during all those ads for "Honey" starring Jessica Alba.

I've been following this chart recently because I'm trying to track how Ev is doing around the world and Delta hasn't dropped below 3?! Is this her first week at #3? Wow. No wonder she's FOURTEEN times platinum over there. Geez. Is that some sort of record or is it even close? I would think it is. I had checked the ARIA Awards website and noticed she had 3 songs nominated in the SAME category :o Don't call me a rocket scientist, but I think Austrailians like her ;) Ev hit their peak after 37 weeks on the chart and from what I remember last week, their last peak was #3 which they also hit last week.

Delta's had a few weeks at #3 in the past, and a bunch at #2 and 29 at #1! She has never been below 3 but I think she's heading downwards soon after so long. Absolutely amazing though... I mean she's sold over 1 million copies now in Australia alone and there are only 20 million people in the country (so 1 in 20 own her album!).
She did have 3 songs nominated in one category although that category is kinda dumb 'cos it's just highest selling single so of course she's going to get a lot of nominations. She'll likely have more in the same category next year ("Not Me, Not I" and "Predictable".
Even more impressive is that each of her 5 singles have all hit #1, and she had 5 out of the top 20 highest selling singles overall in 2003.
