(I did a search before making the topic but came up with no results.)
I like this. A quick check revealed that their album debuted at #1 last week in the UK. Where did the single debut? Some reviews on Amazon compared them to Coldplay but I disagree. Well, I've only heard one song.
Edit: Alright, they so badly want to be Coldplay. You can tell especially from the piano and the lead singer's voice.

#4 UK. Their previous single 'Somewhere Only We Know' peaked at #3
I love this song. Great Graduation song I think.

I love this song, their third single "Bedshaped" is out tomorrow I believe or the coming weeks. :)
Hopes and Fears came out in the US less than 2 months ago; they cut 2 tracks from the UK album. "Somewhere Only We Know" is their first single here.

They sound like a weak Coldplay wannabe.

keane are great! a british indie band without guitars. you must give them a chance and not try and compare them with coldplay, which they inevitably have already done and are sick of! ;)

They're very good. Buzz is building here in the States and Interscope seems committed to them.

Somewhere Only We Know has been growing on me. I like this one too. Maybe not as much as the former, but it's still good.
I'm really tempted to pick up their album.

I've heard the whole album (I don't know whether they have others) but as far as I can tell, only the two singles are good. The rest are OK (i.e. passing grade) but don't stand out. Are you kidding???? What about 'Bedshaped'? That song is absolutely beautiful....

Are you kidding???? What about 'Bedshaped'? That song is absolutely beautiful.... I like that too. But not as much as the two singles. Like I said, the rest are "OK". "Bedshaped" makes no sense to me. But I haven't paid close attention to it.

I just got home from an acoustic performance and they were awesome! The lead singer's voice is amazing and flawless in a live setting.

I love "Somewhere Only We Know" but this is even better. This has more of a definitive chorus and hence should've been the lead single in the USA. Hopfully "SOWK" will be big enough to allow an eventual release for this one here as well. I have faith in them! :)
