This is from the soundtrack to the 2004 Summer Olympics.
I know this is a single in Italy where its an instant impact, is it a single in all of Europe?
Anyway, Tiziano is a major star in Italy where he quickly rose to the top with his individual style. This is his forst English single, it's a little on the cheesy side actually, but hopefully this can break him into some new markets.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard his music before. I don't think so.

I had a huge Tiziano Ferro OD two Summers ago with his huge European smash, "Perdono". ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) The song was sung in Italian and it sounded so fake-R&B, you could see the mask falling in front of your eyes without him even noticing it. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) So now he's trying an English-singing career? Good luck to him. He's going to need it! ![:-x](http://images.proboards.com/lipsrsealed.gif)

Nevermind. I have heard his music before. I can't stand his song "Tardes Negras."

Most of his stuff sounds nothing like that. His latest album, "Centundici" mixes R&B rhythms with classic Italian sounds, and shows off his voice and songwriting skills (he writes all of his own songs and his lyrics are always more complex than his American/British Pop or R&B equivalents). As far as an English career, I'm not sure about that. As of now I think he's just doing that one song for the Olympics.

I'm embarassed for Jamelia Tiziano Ferro. ![:-x](http://images.proboards.com/lipsrsealed.gif) I mean Jamelia is alright, but Tiziano is definitely the more credible artist if you go by his Italian material.

"Tardes Negras" is #2 on Pepsi Musica. It's still getting played! Old.

He is an European artist (just for the European market, as Robbie Williams can be), and I don't think he wats to break into new markets. He is selling a lot all around Europe, and it's a great artist and credible.

This is SO cheesy. I can see why Jamelia did this to boost her european profile, but now it's getting a UK release and frankly it's an embarassment. Doesn't fit with her credible image at all.

Well, it's for the Olympics, so what would you expect? It's not like a song written specifically for an event would be indicative of either artist's typical material. Yeah, it probably will boost Jamelia's european profile. Why is it an embarassment? To be honest, I'm familiar with a lot of Jamelia's material and pretty much all of Tiziano's, and I can honestly say that this song is more in line with Jamelia than Tiziano. COming from someone who can understand Tiziano's music, his lyrics make him more credible than Jamelia... and that's not meant to take anything away from jamelia because I like her too.

This is now #4 in German Airplay, it's doing even better there than Italy! :o
Not sure where it ranks in Italian Airplay, but it's still gaining. It's #6 in Italian "International Airplay," an airplay chart for the most-played non-Italian language songs in Italy.... which would probably put either just inside or just outside the overall Italian airplay chart.
It also debuts at #2 on the Italian Singles Chart (sales only) this week.
