REM have debuted at #1 on the UK album charts.
We will have to wait until Wednesday this week to see where they debuted on The Billboard Top 200. I predict a top 10, maybe top 5.

I doubt R.E.M will debut Top 5, and I also believe though they could debut Top 10, they'll probably plunge something between 8-27 or 10-41 in the first two weeks. You have to understand that R.E.M have actually been coming on strong in the international market since their Greatest Hits hit big there, but are still struggling here. So though "Around The Sun" is a hit in Ireland and the U.K, it doesn't necessarily mean the trends will follow here. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

They sold a little bit more thank 69k in UK and I think they wil sell around 80k in the US, debuting in #9 or #10! Last week, Joss Stone debuted in #1 in UK selling more than in US (75k, in US I think it was 71k)

REM have debuted at #13 here in the US.
Wow, that is pretty bad for them, I was expecting better. Not even a Top 10???
