My guess is she was on a lot of year-end charts, I bet she goes back down soon. No, I think I saw her having a spin loss for that song as late as yesterday.

The Year-To-Date chart still shows the Top 50 songs of 2003 along with their spin totals gained that year. What gives?

No, I think I saw her having a spin loss for that song as late as yesterday. Absolutely right. She was at 833 for the final update but is at 933 today.

If AT40 used the 12/19 chart, then she would've been #36, which explains the sudden boost in spins(she hasn't been played on AT40 the past two weeks).

So if I'm not mistaken, that makes six songs this year that have higher unpublished peaks than published ones right now, though some could still move up to beat their unpublished peaks. Coincidentally, three of them all come from a certain TV show. The six are: Clay Aiken (unpublished: 15, published: 17), Kelly Clarkson (unpublished: 31, published: 32), Jason Mraz (unpublished: 39, published: 40), Ruben Studdard (unpublished: 48, published: 49), Lillix (unpublished: 47, published: 48), and G Unit (unpublished: 49, published: hasn't charted). So it's a lot, but most of them will probably move up some more. And though Clay did move up to #15 in the first week of the break, he didn't have a bullet then or any week since, so it may be a little hard to say he was cheated.
