My radio station seems to have changed its focus the last month or so. All of a sudden they are playing several old Red Hot Chili Peppers songs and they've never played them previously. They've also added several r&b/urban type songs into the mix. It is WQAL in Cleveland. Does anyone know of anything that would account for this change??

WQAL probably did some research and found out what what songs test well and what songs didn't. Those R&B songs being added on was probably due in part to what they found in their research. I don't know if RHCP's new song "Dani California" has anything to do with them playing their prior hits. Perhaps they're refamiliarizing listeners with the band. Also, most (if not all) stations add and drop gold and recurrents from time to time to avoid burnout. I wish I could be more detailed, but hopefully others can help fill in the blanks.
