Alright it might be a stupid question, but the songs seem to gain spins one day, then lose some, then gain, then lose, then gain...I don't understand this. Shouldn't the weirdness be over by now?

I think there's the New Year's stuff to pass so the bullets might actually be higher than they normally would be. Last week, the numbers are rather low in terms of spins. I'm thinking Hey Ya should be on a downward trend and so should some others.
Those that have already lost their bullets should be even moreso on a downward trend like Here Without You. I think that song will drop kinda fast.

Isn't it already back to normal? The current numbers are back to normal, but the trends haven't quite gotten there yet (there's still way too many bullets). Once the "last week" numbers get rid of anything before January 2nd (this Friday or so), things should be completely normal again.

It was a rhetorical question.

I'll try to forward them back to Norm if you tell me his last name and his e-mail address.

On January 16, when the data from New Year's is no longer referenced. The current numbers are fine now, but last week's are still affected by New Year's. The first update on January 16 will be for January 9-15, & the previous week data will be for January 2-8.
