Pop Blooms In Grand Rapids
Citadel launched WCXT today as a CHR/Pop station named "105.3 Hot-FM" following a six-month run as Classic Country and then a daylong stunt as "Reality Radio." Market vets Dave & Geri, who had been doing mornings at crosstown WLHT, come over to do mornings on Hot. The station is running jockless with a post-launch 10,000 songs in a row.
"We're thrilled to provide West Michigan with another option for listening entertainment," said Citadel Midwest Regional President Matt Hanlon. "This station, anchored by Dave and Geri, continues our commitment to providing West Michigan with locally driven content combined with popular personalities."
