This is absolutely amazing....you get paid all that money just to blow it all off by talking nonsense. This idiot deserved to be fired. Plain and simple. If it was all some sort of joke, it wasn't funny. At all.
If you wanted to get back at this guy so badly, all you had to do was point to the ratings.
You had to know that this was going to happen though after he'd gotten fired from Hot 97. Problem is, he'd been replaced by complete idiots too (Tsunami song, anyone?)
DJ Fired After Making Remarks About 4-Year-Old
Clear Channel: Transcribed Remarks 'Wholly Unacceptable'
(AP) NEW YORK Hip-hop disc jockey Star, half the radio duo that hosts the syndicated "Star & Buc Wild Morning Show," was fired Wednesday over racial and sexual remarks he made about a rival's wife and 4-year-old daughter.
Star, whose real name is Troi Torain, worked for Clear Channel Radio's Power 105.1 FM before losing his job when his on-air comments about DJ Envy and his family drew protests from a City Council member and other elected officials.
Clear Channel, the nation's largest radio station owner, said it found his statements "wholly unacceptable."
"As of late this afternoon, he is no longer with Power 105.1 or Clear Channel Radio," New York market manager Rob Williams said in a statement. "We sincerely apologize to those who may have been offended by his remarks."
Councilman John Liu and the rival DJ's wife, Gia Casey, appeared at City Hall on Wednesday to denounce Torain's remarks.
"He threatened to molest my little baby girl," Casey said.
In the comments, made between May 3 and Monday, Torain offered $500 to any listener who could provide information about the rival DJ's 4-year-old daughter's school and used racial slurs when talking about his wife, who is part Asian.
"I will come for your kids," Torain said, according to transcribed excerpts provided by Liu's office. "I finally got the information on his slant-eyed, whore wife."
Torain called the couple's child a "little half a lo mein eater" and said he wanted to "do an R. Kelly on your seed, on your little baby girl. I would like to tinkle on her," according to the excerpts.
The comments apparently were referring to videotapes showing a man bearing a striking resemblance to singer R. Kelly having sex with someone who appeared to be an underage girl and then urinating on her.
Casey told Liu's office she is parts Chinese, Jamaican and Scottish.
Liu, a Queens Democrat, is the first Asian Pacific American to be elected in the city, according to the City Council's Web site. He has supported many Asian causes.
Torain and his half brother, Timothy Joseph, or Buc Wild, hosted Hot 97's morning drive time show beginning in 2000 and joined Clear Channel Radio in March 2004. They began working at Power 105 in January 2005.
Torain, through his manager, Wyatt Cheek, declined to comment.
