Who do you all think will get it first BS or Jessica Simpson? It looks as though these are the only two contenders for #1 after the Outkast hype dies down. I personally love both songs to death.

I don't think either of them will make it.

I think "The Way You Move" will get it for maybe 6 weeks. It's headed for the same peak spins as "Hey Ya" was. "My Immortal" may come in by that time to hit #1. Who knows? Something could come out of nowhere too.

I think "Numb" will be the next #1 after Outkast.

Something could come out of nowhere too. linkin Park, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, and Evanescence are definitely possibilities. Does Switchfoot have a chance? Or that Usher song?Remember, when "Hey Ya" first entered the Top 50, it was moving at the same slow pace as Swithfoot, and exploded around #30. Ok, this is going to sound weird....but does Fefe Dobson have a chance at the top with "Everything." Her existance is already known because of "Take Me Away," and "Everything," has parts of it that sound kind of Avril Lavigne-ish. Isn't this also an MTV movie theme song or something? Was it "The Perfect Score?" I forget.

Am I the only one who thinks "Slow Jamz" will hit #1? It's doing very well for a song that hasn't gone for adds. I think it'll have +1000s gains soon. I think they may be the next #1 after "The Way You Move."

meh, I'm rooting for My Immortal as it's the only real good quality song I've heard in a loooong time. But then again, I'm very biased. It would be funny though if MI ends up de-crowning Numb or vice versa, seeing as both bands are considered rivals.

I think it'll be "Numb", after 4 weeks or so for "The Way You Move".
"Someday" will probably lose its bullet soon.
"Toxic" will likely stall around #4, and "With You" around #3.
"My Immortal" will continue its rise for a while.
"Yeah" might be a contender after that as well.

"Yeah" might be a contender after that as well. I actually do like this song, however I'm not sure it will do that well on pop. It kind of comes off as a song where Usher just lost his innocence. Kind of like Justin Timberlake, how it may have been hardcore when he said "damn" or "sex in one of his songs. Usher says "hell" in this song, and he says like he's never said it before. It seems like he is a little boy being slowly introduced to the real world outside of R&B music and Will Smith. Just a thought.

Britney's gains are amazing right now, but I agree that she probably won't top the chart, same can be said about Jessica. And I so hope niether one does. Anyone know the gains for "Irresistable" (a fast climber that peaked at #2 and had very little longevity after that) when it first entered the Top 10?
I'm rooting for Linkin Park right now. It would be great if both their Top 40 hits reach the top.

LMAO Usher has used stronger language on past tracks, especially on the "My Way" album.

I'm still not counting Nickelback out just yet, it will probably have a fall similar to what 3 Doors Down has had, very slow -200 - -300 a week, Outkast on the other will probably plummet down a lot faster, so Nickelback could still even without a bullet squeeze in a week in at #1. Linkin Park and Jessica Simpson are probably the other 2 possibilities. I think Britney will make top 10 but will stall around #5. Evanescence is going to have to pick up before I think it will have a shot at #1, the song is really good but I don't know about #1. Any news on the next Outkast single??

I don't think My Immortal stands a chance. I'm shocked its gotten as far as it has. Its a real snooze fest right up until the end where the music comes in! I predict Top 20 and no more.

I think why it is doing so well is because a lot of people knew about it before it came out, there must have been a lot of word of mouth hype. It also looks like pop is looking into substance with this song.

I predict Top 20 and no more. *sigh* another MI naysayer. irice is right, some people actually like some substance in the music they listen to. Anyway, to tell you the truth, I also don't think MI will hit #1(yes, I am contradicting myself), mainly because some other song with much more hype will snag that spot . However, I am pretty sure it'll hit top 10, maybe even top 5. However, I don't think Numb will snag #1 either. Perhaps top 5, but that's about it.

If Britney is going to peak at #4-#5, Jessica at #3, and Linkin Park/Evanescence aren't good enough to make it, then who WILL be the next #1? Eamon? Beyonce? Fuel? Sheryl Crow?

If Britney is going to peak at #4-#5, Jessica at #3, and Linkin Park/Evanescence aren't good enough to make it, then who WILL be the next #1? Eamon? Beyonce? Fuel? Sheryl Crow? Well, let's look at it this way: The next 5 songs with bullets after Outkast are: Nickelback, Jessica Simpson, Linkin Park, Britney Spears, and Evanescence. Surely those songs will reach at least the upper echelon of the charts. And surely one of them has to snag# 1, simple deduction tells us that. It would be nice if they all fell into order though. (i.e., First Nickelback snags #1, then Jessica, then Linkin, and so forth) but of course, highly unlikely it will happen that way. So the question still stands: Who's going to be the next #1 after Outkast. I'm still inclined to say Evanescence is the one that deserves it the most, but again, competition is tough. My guess, prolly Nickelback. *Shudders at the thought of how many MORE times stupid local pop station will overplay that song once it hits number 1*. by the way, kinda off topic but, what spot did Stacie Orrico's "More to Life" reach on the charts?

Boring is the only substance My Immortal has. Linkin Park's new song sounds too much like their last hit to get them all the way to #1.

Boring is the only substance My Immortal has. That's a stretch. That doesn't seem to matter with rock bands on pop.

Thankfully, your opinion doesn't matter much ( at least to me) What's bad is I really liked Bring Me To Life but man I fell asleep halfway through the first verse of this song. Maybe I will hear it again and it will grow on me. I am not too good to give a song multiple chances for me to like it.

I think My Immortal will likely be the next #1. Numb has a shot at it, but I like others, think it will slowdown before it gets there. My Immortal on the other hand will start picking up big time as soon as it hits the top 10.
