Great great song!! It's been a huge hit in Mexico and many other countries in Latin America. If I'm not mistaken, the last time I checked the Billboard latin chart, this song was doing well. It's definitely one of my current favorite songs in Spanish. Love it!

VIVA 105.7 played it last night! Ana sounds exactly like Amaia from La Oreja De Van Gogh. They're both from Spain. You would think Geri Halliwell would sound like Amaia, too; they even look alike (a little bit)! But "Mi Chico Latino" didn't convince me of that.

Hey, Geo! It's me again. Well, I guess we both like latin music because I keep finding you here. :) I'm not sure if you're just discovering latin music of you've listened to it for a long time. Anyway, regarding your comment about Amaia, yes her voice is very similar to Ana's. But I would say Amaia sounds like Ana, instead of Ana sounds like Amaia. Ana Torroja was the vocalist of the Spanish group Mecano. Mecano is the most famous and succesful pop/rock group in the history of Spain. Ana has been around with them since early 80s. The band hasn't recorded anything since the 90s and each member is now doing solo work. Mecano y Ana are within my top 5 favorite artists of all time. Then in recent years, La Oreja De Van Gogh appeared and everybody was saying how Amaia's voice is very similar to Ana's. Anyway, I like both groups a lot. Have you heard "La Playa" from La Oreja de Van Gogh? Awesome song!!! :)

Thanks for the background info on Ana! My mom likes "Duele El Amor" too. ("She sounds just like that Spanish group!" lol She's only familiar with LODVG because "Rosas" is always on my favorite station.) I'll check out Ana's group. I've only just started getting into Latin music. I started buying several CDs in Spanish last summer/fall. Thalia, Jaci Velasquez, Jennifer Pena, Selena, Paulina... Before then, I only had a few. Now I have like 40. And yes, "La Playa" is a great song! It might end up being my favorite song by them. I don't have LODVG's first two albums, but I have their concert CD, so I basically have all the hits. BTW, thanks again for convincing me to give Julieta another chance. I love "Lento," and her album clips were really impressive. I liked nearly all the clips alone more than "Andar Conmigo" (which has sort of grown on me), so I hope to get her album SOON.

I totally love this song. I bought the CD bootleg, but CD's are expensive in Mexico. I was staying there at the time and the black market was an easy and inexpensive place to buy cd's. The whole album is sooo the bomb! I LOVE IT!

I should have gone to one of those bootleg shops! I only went to this touristy one in Cabo, and the CDs were like $17 each.
