Earlier in her career, Shakira recorded three of her songs, Estoy Aqui, Un Poco De Amor, and Pies Descalzos, Suenos Blancos, in Portuguese to help break into the Brazil market and now she is thinking of recording La Tortura in Portuguese. Do any other Latin artists also record their songs or other songs in Portuguese? ???

This is very cool, love her multi-language talents. "La Tortura" has already hit #1 in Portugal and doing VERY well in Brazil as it is. Anyways: Julio Iglesias Enrique Iglesias Gloria Estefan Thalia Ricky Martin Italian Artists Who Sing In Both Spanish & Portuguese Laura Pausini Andrea Bocelli Nek Tiziano Ferro Eros Ramazotti

Yeah, I've only heard Gloria Estefan's Portuguese translations, I think. Portuguese is probably my least favorite of the romance languages. :( Well, I'm not sure about Romanian. The O-Zone track wasn't enough for me to make a judgement of it.

Thanks, I'll have to check for some of those artists' portuguese songs. I know Ricky Martin recorded a Portugese version of his first album as a soloist for the Brazilian market. I don't know if he's recorded any songs in Portugese since.

Yeah, a bit of Forca is in Portuguese and in the acoustic version of Powerless she sings a bit in Portuguese.
@griego; I thought Portuguese was meant to be the most erotic language? I haven't really heard enough Portuguese to judge but when we did a bit of Portuguese in Spanish it sounded like singing with a bad lisp.
