I noticed that for the first time since "Emotions" by Mariah Carey in 1991, we finally had a song that spent the same number of weeks at #1 on both Billboard and R&R during the same hypothetical air-dates (assuming Casey was still doing the R&R Top 40 show that's a week behind the published date).
10/12/91 Emotions 10/19/91 Emotions 10/26/91 Emotions
12/13/03 Hey Ya 12/20/03 Hey Ya 12/27/03 Hey Ya 01/03/04 Hey Ya 01/10/04 Hey Ya 01/17/04 Hey Ya 01/24/04 Hey Ya 01/31/04 Hey Ya 02/07/04 Hey Ya

So you're counting the two week break? "Hey Ya!" spent eight weeks at the top on R&R I think (which would be ten if you count those two weeks), but it spent nine weeks at #1 on the Hot 100.

There are a few other songs since since 1991 that spent the same number of weeks at the top, but didn't do them at the same time on both charts:
How Do You Talk To An Angel (2 weeks) On Bended Knee (6) All I Have (4)
