Eamon is #1 with 113 spins? Stations like this should be removed from the pop panel.

Another one that needs to go to the rhythm chart.

I already new this station was mostly rhythmic and overplaying songs to make a bad station worse isn't a big deal to me. If you want you can make your own panel of stations on the CHR-Pop panel that are mostly or all rhythmic. WHKF has geographic overlap with WLAN and WYCR. I haven't been there to know exactly how much overlap. I read that WYCR plays 80s songs. It's an independent station. The Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle CHR-Rhythmic station plays "With You," 'Toxic," and "Slow" more than WHKF does. WWKL is the rhythmic leader for "With You," "Slow," and "Some Girls (Dance With Women)" and the fifth leader for "Toxic." WHKF is the top leader for seven out of their top ten.

Both WLAN and WYCR have huge signals and come in well on car radios in and around Harrisburg. WLAN would even come in well on a Walkman, unless you were near the WRVV 97.3 tower by the junction of 81 and 322/22. WYCR is not quite that strong. Both cover Harrisburg better than WWKL, which has a horrible signal. WHKF doesn't have a great signal either, but it's better than WWKL's and closer to H-burg.

WWKL (CHR/Rhythmic) and WNNK (Hot AC) are really the market's two Pop stations...While the CHR/Pop, WHKF is very Rhythmic leaning. WLAN and WYCR have good reception in Harrisburg but they don't promote themselves at all in the market. WYCR is in York and WLAN is in Lancaster. The Harrisburg, York and Lancaster markets all overlap each other a lot. WHKF and WLAN are both owned by CC, while WYCR is owned by Radio Hanover. CC uses WLAN to target Lancaster and York and WHKF to target Harrisburg. While Radio Hanover's WYCR just targets York. Several years ago when WLAN wasn't owned by CC, WLAN targetted all three markets.

Also interesting, these markets are so close to each other that WHKF's broadcast tower is actually in the York market, but they target Harrisburg.

This is true, but Harrisburg itself is only about 3 miles away from being in the York market. :)
Some interesting markets in Central PA.

Yea but they've always been friendly to pop music and pretty much pick up on the CHR/Pop chart where WHKF leaves off. WNNK plays No Doubt, Clay Aiken, Dido, Maroon 5, FeFe Dobson, and Kelly Clarkson, all pop artists that WHKF doesn't play. WWKL even plays No Doubt, played Kelly Clarkson, and played "Toxic" and "With You" before WHKF. Not to mention they are playing "Some Girls" and "Slow" while WHKF is not.

Playing more pop than WHKF doesn't make WNNK or WWKL pop as compared to all CHR-Pop stations, not just as compared to WHKF. To me a station's format is independent of what market it's in and what other stations in the market are playing. Because there are markets without a CHR-Pop station, the station in the market playing the most songs on the CHR-Pop chart is not necessarily a CHR-Pop station.

"Trouble With Love Is" isn't doing so great on Hot AC...WNNK also played Maria "I Give, You Take" I never said they were CHR/Pop...My point was they pick up on a lot of pop music where WHKF leaves off. And they do. WNNK used to be CHR/Pop before WHKF signed on.

Whoa! What a huge gap between the #7 and #8 songs... 94 spins... and 60 spins... and the #9 track has 49 spins... Wow!

If you look at the 20 leaders for a rhythmic song in the Top 10 you should be able to find other stations like that. You could try WKGS, WYOK, or KELZ.

Lovely to see Eamon at #1 on a playlist. Woo hoo!!! And that's one of the few good things about the playlist. The fact that it has 115 spins plus the fact that the top 8 combined has more spins than the bottom 22 makes this far from the ideal playlist.
