This is listed as going for adds April 20. Does Busted have a chance in the United States?

Never liked any of their songs. I guess they're like a British version of Good Charlotte or something...my guess is they won't make it in the States...

This is vile. If Sugababes or Liberty X can't make it in America, there is no way in hell a "band" like Busted will.

Total shite
They're not like Good Charlotte.... they're like Backstreet Boys trying to be Good Charlotte.

Not bad. I like it because they're British.

I was driving to the bars one night, and this came on for some reason...I've never heard such a backlash against a song. Of course I knew it was because I've read about it, and thought it already sounded horrible, but this song could very well be the worst song to come out this year.

It's not that bad. I'll take it over Lil' Jon anyday of the week.
That being said, it probably won't chart unless the record company hypes the hell out of it.

BUSTED What I Go to School For Producer(s): Steve Robson Writer(s): various Publisher(s): EMI Music Publishing Ltd./ Rondor Music (London) Ltd./Windswept Music (London) Ltd. Genre: NEW & NOTEWORTHY Label/Catalog Number: Universal 21220 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: May 08, 2004
Visually, Busted is the United Kingdom's answer to Simple Plan and Good Charlotte. The British trio comprises three fresh-faced, camera-ready gents (James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, Mathew Willis). On the musical side, all three acts create simple, straight-ahead pop/rock tunes—and all clearly have stylists who have tried to re-create Green Day's look circa 1994. That said, Busted's "What I Go to School For" should catch listeners immediately, thanks to its "Hot for Teacher" vibe. It appears to be sung from the point of view of a high school student who pines for his 33-year-old teacher, Ms. McKenzie. And get this—he gets her in the end. The lively video that accompanies this track is well-poised to garner attention thanks to its saucy subject matter. Of course, this is the perfect lead in to the act's U.S. debut album, due this summer.—KC

Used to think it was OK, but now I think it's horrid. It'll slow down on CHR/Pop, but I think this'll be a Radio Disney SMASH!

Damn, this song is just jumping right out the gate. Good strategy to wait on it.

Report Card: What I Go To School For
Originality: F ( The concept here: Having crushes on people that you shouldn't. It's been covered in "Stacy's Mom"; we don't really need a Fountains of Wayne 2004-2005. Video: D+/C- The band members jumping up and down in the chorus can get annoying, and it's a rip off of Simple Plan anyway.
Song: B- The song reminds me of soulDecision, or more appropriately 'Caught In The Middle'
Grammar: C- They ended a sentence with a preposition! ("That's what I go to school for...")
I'll tell you what I don't go to school for...to listen to unoriginal material such as this.
Peak Position: #30.

This sure hit a brick wall. It started off with a +300 bullet but peaked at 426 spins.
