It's a recent Top 40 song, I'm pretty sure. It has a very fast beat, it's by a female with a very high voice and one line I remember from the chorus is, "...what am I gonna do?" One other song comes to mind. This one is by a man who sounds a cross between Lenny Kravitz and Stevie Wonder. The last line in the chorus is something like, "I don't say goodbye anymore". I'm pretty sure it's new because I heard it on Kiss FM before this past weekend's broadcast of AT40. Kiss FM usually plays new songs and the older songs they play are songs that were big pop hits. If someone could help me with these, that would be great.

Well the second one is Maroon5's "This Love" but not sure about the first one.

Did a Google search of "what am I gonna do" as song lyrics and came up with Aaliyah's "Miss You". Could that be it? No, because, for one, I know how that song goes and, second, that's a slow song, while the song in question has a fast beat. I'm pretty sure it was on the chart earlier this year, or maybe late last year, but I may be remembering it from the April 5, 2003 edition of the Rick Dees show that I recently listened to.

It sounded a cross between both. Do either of Pink's mid-charters from 2003 (Trouble was one of them) contain the lines "what am I gonna do?"

Was this ever popular/ did it ever chart? No. In fact, I always thought this song was only popular in New York.

I think the song I'm thinking of might be "I Give You Take" by Maria. Does it have the line, "What am I gonna do" in it?

I believe another line in the song may be "you can say what you want".

Eureka! That's what it is. I went and checked the lyrics and it did indeed match up! When I was looking through my charts the other night looking for a song possibly called "Say What You Want", I didn't stop to think it might be a subtitle. I knew it was more recent than "I Give You Take". Thanks.
