Carson Daly's Most Requested site used to have 50 or 60 stations reporting daily for the national countdown but lately they are down to 20 or 30 reporting daily. Does anyone know why? mmr247.com/mostrequestedresults/Index.asp

I noticed that as well.
I imagine (but don't no this to be a fact) that there was a renewal anniversary for many of the stations that carried it in syndication and they chose not to renew.
They probably preferred a localy produced countdown.

Wow, I never knew there was a website for this. That is pretty cool. Thanks for posting it.
Does each individual station have a different countdonw?

Does each individual station have a different countdonw? Some of the larger markets have their own countdown and the rest of the stations play the national version. I think for the larger markets they do a digital cut and paste of Carson's intros to the songs so they fit the countdown for that market.

They probably preferred a localy produced countdown. That sounds like a good explanation to me. Maybe Ryan Seacrest is planning on replacing Daly soon. ;)

They probably preferred a localy produced countdown. And they probably preferred a host who actually has a personality (Carson is so flippin' monotone on the radio).
