Who do you think is gonna have the more successful career in the long run?! This is a controversial topic so try to tone down the fights!
I say Tweet. Why else would her record company try to scare off Ashanti's by telling them to push back Ashanti's album cos Tweet's gonna be #1! Tweet is more mature too.

I think Ashanti will be around for a while. I think Tweet will be around as long as Missy is around because she puts her on her tracks, on other peoples tracks and helps her with her album. But as far as Tweet's own records go, Im not sure how long she will be round

I think Ashanti will fizzle out soon enough.
Tweet will be around longer but I don't think Tweet will ever become a household name.

As soon as one of them wear out our listening welcome (there will be an "Overrated/Underrated" of 2003 coming your way soon in December), another will come along to bump them off their perch. Ashanti (bless her heart for trying really hard) will probably fizzle out in another year. However, Tweet does have a following. As long as Missy Elliot continues to give her that starpower edge, she'll do a hell of a lot better on her own than Ashanti is to the Murder Inc. people, IMO.

Having heard Tweet's new material, it's awful, but her first album alone is far ahead of anything Ashanti has ever done.

I am gonna say that Ashanti will be around longer. She has had the most successful and a pretty solid fanbase. I don't see the same thing for Tweet

Ashanti will star opposite Samuel L. Jackson in "Coach Carter."

I'm not really feeling either artist, but if there's one that's going to have staying power it's probably going to be Ashanti.
I agree with jond7699. Ashanti simply has a good fanbase and should be able to keep it for a while.

In terms of sheer talent; vocally, lyrically, and musically, Tweet trumps Ashanti across the board. Ashanti is basically just a talentless shill for Murder Inc. or Tha Inc. or whatever they're called these days.
I don't think either of them will last.

I doubt if tweet will ever become a HUGE star, but I think she will continue to be a quality artist. Her last album was mamzing......made me say "Ashanti who?"
