Both of these British black females had big success in their early days... both of these singles were big hits in the US(IFSG #8 Hot 100, YGB #16), their followup singles Feels So High & Sky flopped, plus when they released their comeback albums in 2003, they also flopped badly this year, though this year, they have both had an international hit this year: It's Ok - Des'ree & Alive - Sonique :) However, "Life" remains Des'ree's biggest hit ever worldwide... just that it wasn't ever released in the US Both are classics IMO, but I pick: It Feels So Good cause A)from 2000 B)love the dancey vocals...

I'll go with "You Gotta Be"; really brings my mind back to '95.

I like both and am not voting. I heard "You Gotta Be" before I started following music.

"You Gotta Be", easily. "It Feels So Good" is annoying.

Gosh this is really tough.
Both were really great songs which were well recognized around the world!
I guess I'll go with Desree's "You Gotta Be," because I think she deserves to get the most praise for her track.

What a silly poll. "You Gotta Be", easily. "It Feels So Good" is annoying. Agreed.

I like both and am not voting. I heard "You Gotta Be" before I started following music. I'm quoting myself. Now I'm voting for Sonique to make it closer.

Both favorite of mine before they blew up. I voted Sonique. It was funny because they played this song constantly in Tampa. It was the most requested song months before it entered pop top 50. I think had all of Florida played it as half as hard as they did at it's peak, this would've peaked much higher. I remember the single sold incredible amts in the record stores there.
