These women were considered the Big Four 90's Divas... so which lowest peaking Hot 100 single from them do you prefer?
As much as I love Mariah, I'm giving this to Janet. I think "Young Love" is one of her best upbeat songs. It's so fun and carefree.
By the way, I realize that all of them have had singles that did not even hit the Hot 100, and I realize that Mariah Carey had another single peak at #81 ["Never Too Far/Hero"] and another even lower at #83 ["All I Want For Christmas Is You"], but I'm not counting those for obvious reasons.

None of them are that great... but Madonna's is easily the best.

One of the few Mariah Carey songs I like. I can't believe this song didn't do better.

The only song of the four that I don't hate is the one by Janet, so I''ll go with "Young Love". Of course, it's also the only one I haven't heard..

I'm also going with "Through The Rain".
I have never been a Mariah Carey fan, but I must admit I cried hearing this song, and none of her other songs made me do so. Never has Mariah had such a strong performance.
Though I'm happy that Janet Jackson is getting more upbeat again after having that depression :( I feel Janet has yet to do better as "Young Love" sounded a bit mediocre to me. However, I do respect that song also.
Madonna's is just mediocre.
Finally, Whitney's is just awful.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I would have to go with Whitney. Even though it's not her best song, I like it and I think it's fun. Madonna's song is just ok. It didn't do much for me. Janet's I cannot remember right now. I would need to go and find it in my cd collection. Mariah's... the song itself is nice, but her vocal performance, in my opinion, is her worst ever. Can singles that didn't make it to the Hot 100 count???? Mariah's "Sweetheart" would have maybe been my choice over those 4 songs you list. I really really like this song and her vocals too!! :)

I like all these songs and artists but Whitney wins. Janet is my fave artist but I'd rank her song last!

I think its kind of unfair that the other songs were released after 1995 and Janet's lowest peaking single happened way back in the early 80's. How is she to compete???

I remember Janet performing Young Love on American Bandstand back in '82 or '83. (Damn - I was only 11) She was absolutely adorable. It's a cute, upbeat track actually. Janet gets my vote!

Young Love is the shizzle, okay? I could shimmy all day and all night to that groove. Classic post-disco pop fusion!
