Well...now that Uncle Kracker has finally surrendered the #1 spot, it is now a good time to finally unveil this latest poll.
Chances are "Unwell" may possibly become the eighth AC #1 before 2003 comes to a close, but you get the general idea!
Which of these seven AC #1 hits of 2003 is the best in your opinion?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"Cry". Sounds like an 80's power ballad to me, which I like.

Shouldn't "The Game Of Love" be listed as a #1 hit from 2002? Or did it top the chart only this year? If so, then it gets my vote; it's way ahead of the others. Next in line would be "Beautiful".

Shouldn't "The Game Of Love" be listed as a #1 hit from 2002? Or did it top the chart only this year? It hit #1 for a few weeks last December, fell out, then re-took the #1 spot for two more weeks in May, right before Uncle Kracker began his 21-week reign. I vote for "Cry", by the way.

Control - that's a very unflattering photo of Christina. Yes I know it's from the video, but the video sucked.
Why isn't "Drift Away" have quotation marks? Is it because you don't consider it a song? LOL. That's what I would do and have been doing.
Here's how I would rank and rate the songs.
1. Shania Twain: "Forever And For Always" [glow=blue,1,100]A+[/glow] 2. Faith Hill: "Cry" B 3. Phil Collins: "Can't Stop Loving You" [red]C[/red] 4. Santana/Michelle Branch: "The Game of Love" [red]D[/red]
Dixie Chicks: "Landslide" [red]F, F, F!!![/red] Christina Aguilera: "Beautiful" [red]F-!!![/red] Uncle Kracker: Drift Away [red]FFFFFF!!![/red]

Phil Collins gets my vote by a huge margin. The others are all either boring, overplayed or both.
My rankings: Can't Stop Loving You A Game of Love B (but a big fatigue factor) Forever & For Always C+ Cry C Beautiful D+ (huge fatigue factor) Landslide F Drift Away F- (started as an F, with a huge fatigue factor since)

Can't Stop Loving You hit the top of my chart, I liked that the best. Too bad other formats ignored this gem.

The only reason J doesn't want it up there is because he doesn't want to be reminded that Christina might have yet another hit on her hands As for this poll, i honestly think "The Game Of Love" is the most overrated song. It's not even that good! I mean it was OKAY at first, but it got annoying quickly. My vote goes for "Beautiful" (Why did this song regain it's bullet on AC?)

My Report Card:
Christina Aguilera: A (Truly anthemic, and reveals more of the depth to Christina.)
Dixie Chicks: Landslide: A- Soulful and harmonic cover country-toned, which even made Stevie Nicks smile. They did their job! :)
Shania Twain: Forever And For Always: B The sound is somewhat bland, yet Shania offers great vocals fit suitably for this format.
Faith Hill: Cry: C+ Nothing groundbreaking, but Faith Hill as always has incredible vocal range and really gets the intensity of the deep emotion portrayed in this song.
Phil Collins: Can't Stop Loving You: C Ehhh!
Santana/Michelle Branch: The Game Of Love: C Certainly not among Santana's best, but it sounds perfectly suitable for AC, so it works for me.
Uncle Kracker: Drift Away: D- Dobie Grey's appearance is the only good thing in the entire song. But every time Uncle Kracker sings, please have mercy!
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I voted for "Can't Stop Loving You" because I really liked that song and still do. However, all the others (with the exception of Forever And For Always) were also very good songs for an AC #1.
The Game of Love indeed hit #1 for two weeks in December 2002, then fell out and waited over 20 weeks to return to the top (after Cry, Can't Stop Loving You, Landslide, & Beautiful). Of course, on AT40, The Game Of Love spent much longer at #1 since Beautiful never hit #1 there, and I think Landslide did not stay at #1 for as long as it did on R&R.

Control - that's a very unflattering photo of Christina. Yes I know it's from the video, but the video sucked. I didn't really choose the pic myself, that's the single cover, and I put the single cover of my current #1 song as my avatar.. I do like the pic though, but it looks a lot better in full size

My vote goes for "Beautiful" (Why did this song regain it's bullet on AC?) Because sycophantic lambs keep requesting for it on AT20.

Note to others: it was J that unnecessarily started this one. But I'd like to add that that's the worst Christina picture I've seen since her "comeback". That doesn't say much since it's also probably the first bad one I've seen but still. It's like she made her nose smaller or something.
My top vote is either between 'The Game Of Love' or 'Beautiful'.... I can't really choose but since 'Beautiful' is a 2003 song, I guess that gets my vote.

Note to others: it was J that unnecessarily started this one. Started what? It was just an offhand comment to Control. I don't have arguments with Control. Everyone makes offtopic comments all the time whenever something strikes them that they find worthy to comment on. radiosucks butted in for no particular reason.
