Gosh, this is really close between 'Yourself or Someone Like You' and 'More Than You Thiink You Are.' 'Mad Season' is also really good, but it is just a little bit too overproduced.
MB20 is my favorite band of all time, so I'll have to think about it. You have the classic songs from YOSLY, but MTYTYA has really grown on me so much since I first got it...

They are all great and worth having. The latest is probably the best for me, because on a few of the songs they really rock out, which is where I feel they are at their best.

Each of their albums has high points. But their debut "Yourself Or Someone Like You" wins the edge over "More Than You Think You Are"
"Yourself Or Someone Like You" is a classic. I'd give this one 5 out of 5 stars. The best song, in my opinion, that Rob has ever written, "Kody" is the heart of this album to me, a heartbreaking memory of a 2 1/2 year old boy and his sudden death. Rob puts his heart out in everything he writes, but never as deep and poignant as "Kody". "Hang" and "Back 2 Good" are also classified as "brilliant" to me. You have a batch of classic hit singles from this album, the catharisis in "Shame" and the hard-rock explosion in "Busted", all comes together as an album to remember.
"More Than You Think You Are" is also an excellent album. I'd probably give this 4 out of 5 to 4.5 out of 5 stars. Two songs especially really stand out to me. The current single "Bright Lights", which is in my opinion the best single they've released yet, and "Hand Me Down", with some of their best performances musically toward the end especially. "The Difference" is one of Rob's best lyrically, "Downfall" has an excellent gospel rock sound, "You're So Real" has an upbeat side we don't see often from Rob that you've gotta love, and some heavy rockers ("Feel", "Cold") warming audiences up. I'd say the album's only weak point is "Disease", which I still can't grow into, with Mick Jagger's cheesy lyric and the sound that is quite like a re-mixed "Smooth".
"Mad Season" is not a bad album but also not an excellent one to me. I'd give this 3 out of 5 probably. I think the main problem wit this album is just like what Rob and Paul said, "There was too much overproduction!". Their rock sound gets alienated on much of the album and there's some contrived material. There are definitely standouts, like the heartfelt "Bed of Lies", the excellent orchestration in "You Won't Be Mine", the jangly "Last Beautiful Girl" and some of Rob's best storytelling in "Rest Stop", but the album has its weaknesses too, particularly with "The Burn" and "Leave". They perhaps tried too hard, but all at once, they may have tried too little, ironic as it sounds.
So YOSLY is my winner.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

All of them are great, but "Mad Season" is just a little bit better than the other two.
