"Roc Ya Body Mic Check 1, 2" has been a very strange song. It has had high/power rotation on several stations in the east including some very big leaders in the CHR/Pop market like Z-100, WBLI and Q-102 (WIOQ) but it never seemed to catch on even as an light rotation add at the vast majority of stations.

"Rock Ya Body Mic Check 1, 2" confuses me! It has a a really complex title by an artist whose name is also very complex!

The most I had seen was like 50 for Big Brovaz "Favourite Things" and for some Dannii Minogue song. Yeah, they played "Favourite Things" on KRBV in Dallas about 80 times a week. I guess it never caught on. Thanks, Ben

In-Grid is not quite getting power rotation in KIIS in LA but it is close. New song or long Latin favorite?

I've seen songs with 130 + spins on one station once . But they've probably made the chart. (See topic title.) WKGS has also put into high rotation several rap songs that barely made the chart.

Def Leppard's Now had 88 spins on Hits106 out of Kearney, NE. You must have really been flooding their request line WKCI in New Haven is very 80's-metal friendly and didn't play "Now" anywhere near that often. As for "Rock Ya Body Mic Check". When the heck are WBLI and Z-100 gonna quit with that song. It's painfully bad.

You must have really been flooding their request line Actually it was really weird. The first couple weeks it was out, I was kind of doing that, but then it seemed like enough people were digging it that it really started getting the requests, because I sort of lost interest in requesting, and it was being played all the time. It had 2 or 3 weeks at 80+ spins and quite a few more weeks at 60+

Def Leppard's Now had 88 spins on Hits106 out of Kearney, NE. Lol, and Kaci - "Intervention Divine" had 92 one week on that station. Both were in that station's year end Top 6.

I love the instrument used in the song, and I don't know about KIIS, but the version z103 plays is in the native tongue, "Tu Es Fontu"...I believe it's French, but something about it throws me off. Anyways, good song. speaking of z103, "Roc Ya Body" was a big hit for them as well, bigger than "Roll Wit MVP".

When I lived in Arkansas, my pop station (KLAZ) played Alanis' cover of "King of Pain" at least 50x week

I love the instrument used in the song It's an accordion. :) Like in those Pepsi commercials with the young Jimi Hendrix, or like in every Weird Al polka medley.

They do listen to requests but I wouldn't really say that that song came out of nowhere. They love Def Leppard more than Kaci... I remember when "Work It Out," "Goodbye," and "Promises" were also on their playlist.

I remember when "Work It Out," "Goodbye," and "Promises" were also on their playlist. Oh I didn't know those songs were on there, that's pretty cool. I wish I would've had that station back then, without, of course, having to live in the area.
