As much as I hate U2 I will have to say Beautiful Day. I think the grammy's are unfairly biased towards them.

Sheesh. Can anything GOOD ever win this award? Lol, dude I bet you thought this year would finally have an Urban ROTY, huh? But you're forgetting these are the Grammys! "Smooth", "Clocks", and "Change The World" are all great songs. Gotta go with Santana and Rob on this one...will never get sick of that classic.

8. 1998- "My Heart Will Go On," Celine Dion 7. 1997- "Sunny Came Home," Shawn Colvin 6. 1999- "Smooth," Santana featuring Rob Thomas 5. 2000- "Beautiful Day," U2 4. 2002- "Don't Know Why," Norah Jones 3. 2001- "Walk On," U2 2. 1996- "Change the World," Eric Clapton 1. 2003- "Clocks," Coldplay
1 and 2 are extremely close. 3 isn't far behind. 4, 5, and 6 are tight as well. I don't like 7 or 8 very much but 7 is very far ahead of 8.

1) Coldplay - Clocks 2) U2 - Beautiful Day 3) U2 - Walk On 4) Santana with Rob Thomas - Smooth 5) Norah Jones - Don't Know Why 6) Shawn Colvin - Sunny Came Home 7) Eric Clapton - Change The World 8) Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On
Though I should have voted for "Beautiful Day" because it deserves more than just 1 out of 17. Then again, that just proves how great "Clocks" is (to me).

1. 1998- "My Heart Will Go On," Celine Dion 2. 1996- "Change the World," Eric Clapton
3. 1997- "Sunny Came Home," Shawn Colvin
1 & 2 are close, 3 is behind by quite a bit.
4. 2003- "Clocks," Coldplay 5. 1999- "Smooth," Santana featuring Rob Thomas 6. 2000- "Beautiful Day," U2
7. 2002- "Don't Know Why," Norah Jones 8. 2001- "Walk On," U2
7 & 8 are dead last by a pretty large margin, as evidence by the pretty large gap I left there.

Oh yeah... I never voted.
I'll give the first vote for "Walk On", although I probably like "Clocks" more.

Clocks A+ My Heart Will Go On A+ Sunny Came Home A Beautiful Day A Smooth B Change The World B Don't Know Why B- Walk On C
The Top 4 songs were all very deserving. Also the 1995 song "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. The next 2 were easily understandable, but I never could understand "Walk On". One of the most boring and pointless U2 songs I've ever heard, and by no means a big hit. I guess the Academy voters thought that the numerous Grammies U2 was awarded the previous year were insufficient.

"Smooth" by a landslide...but followed by "Clocks", Celine, and Norah
Shawn Colvin won Record of the YEAR in 1997? WOW
I vaguely remember how that song goes, but it was THAT huge?
Damn...it really is true. You learn something new every day.
