Two R&B ballads from solo male artists that hit the top 5 on CHR/Pop [well, Mario doesn't qualify for two of these criteria, but it will surely hit the top 5 on Pop; and I'm trying to distinguish between solo artists and bands (i.e. Jagged Edge or B2K) while ignoring featured artists such as P. Diddy]. Which one is your favorite?

Joe by a billion miles. He also gets bonus points for not making a song entirely out of samples.

Mario Winans, but only because I've heard Joe's song maybe three times in the past three years. I really liked it when it was out, though. I assume that I like Mario's song more.

I like Joe's song, but it gets pretty bland after hearing it too much. I am a little tired of it right now because I heard it so much when it was out.
I pick Mario Winans.

I was a LOT tired of the Joe song. They played that song so much that they killed it, then brought it back to life just to kill it again.
Mario.

Wow, I really thought Joe would win this in a blowout. I'm pretty even on both of these.

I love both of these songs. I picked Joe's because it's more original sounding. It grew on me more and more as I heard it (which is a good thing, because it was popular for so long), and it has wonderful words. But Mario Winans' song is one of my favorite new ones, and I'm glad to see it doing so well when this type of music is being so underplayed. Interesting how he got both Enya and P Diddy on this record, but it works.
