It was between Meredith, Stevie, and Elton but I gave it to Stevie.

It was between Meredith, Stevie, and Elton but I gave it to Stevie. My vote goes to Stevie Nicks also, because I've never heard the Prodigy, Jet, or Missy Elliott songs, Meredith Brooks' version just plain sucks (and that was before it was waaaay overplayed back in 1997) and Elton John's is just OK. The Stevie Nicks song is way underrated. I don't think it charted at all on R&R and charted below the Top 30 on Gavin (that was what was so good about that chart - certain songs tended to rank higher. Rick Dees should have used that one, since most Rap hits that charted low on R&R for weeks and weeks didn't make it to the Gavin chart. Gavin Top 40 editor Dave Sholin had a very short-lived show based on their chart, and even the last few months, it was just a Top 30.

Def. Prodigy has the best of those songs... and they get bonus points for the video.

Easily Prodigy. The Meredith Brooks and Jet songs are really overrated, and I haven't heard the other three.

Prodigy, easily. One great song that's not a choice in the poll is "Hollywood Bitch" by STP, one of their last songs. Also, there are a few others not mentioned on the poll that I've heard and liked.

I can't believe I actually voted for Prodigy but I did. That song is catchy.

Interesting how the #1 rock and alternative song of the past couple weeks is the only one without any votes, especially considering that most of its competition isn't so familiar.

Meredith Brooks, obviously. ;) I agree (and, therefore, voted for Meredith Brooks' Bitch).
