PSI DAILY UPDATE 5\10:
To begin, congratulations to Jewel who has officially been voted in to the Final 12 from Group A. Chris Cornell surpised everyone tying Jewel with 21% of the vote, however, he will be headed to the wildcard round because when any tiebraker occurs, the person with the highest amount of votes in the first round advances. This will surely be one of the closest votes of the whole competition, or will it? Time will tell. But again, congratulations to Advancing to the Finals: Jewel Headed to the Wilc Card Round: Chris Cornell.
Now, it's time to announce, Group B. Remember, this series' competition, the rule has been changed, and all artists will be performing their own songs!. Recommendations will be taken into account until Tuesday at 9pm when the songs will be announced for the song the artist has chosen to sing. Voting will begin on Wednesday at 11pm.
The artists of Group B performing "Adult Contemporary" Alicia Keys Celine Deon Craig David Dave Matthews Nelly Furtado Norah Jones Phil Collins Usher
Start picking what you want these guys to sing. This has been your PSI Daily Update. Take Care.

I hope I'm doing this right.Β Pick a song for each artist, and that song should fall into the AC category and be that artist's own song, right?
Alicia Keys "Fallin'" Celine Dion "My Heart Will Go On" Craig David "Walking Away" Dave Matthews "Crash" (only song I can think of his that really qualifies as AC) Nelly Furtado "Powerless" Norah Jones "Come Away With Me" Phil Collins "Another Day In Paradise" Usher "U Remind Me" (another artist who doesn't exactly fit the AC category, but this one should do)

Geez, half of these people could make the Top 12. Whoever is runner-up will most definitely find their way winning the wild card round. Group A is friday night's garbage compared to this group. This is a very light sounding group but all are very talented.
Alicia- Fallin' (could be too obvious) Celine- It's All Coming Back To Me Now Craig- Rise & Fall (too boring?) Dave- Satellite Nelly- Try Norah- Come Away With Me Phil- Something Happened On The Way To Heaven Usher- Burn

I realize I forgot to put Dave on my list, and now I'm glad I did because it probably wouldn't have occured to me to give him "Satellite." So yeah, I'm seconding you on that.

Hey everyone, the PSI Semi-Finals is back. There was just a misunderstanding everything is fine again, it all involves my brother aka The Wildman, aka ****face, and me setting up a simple account for him, etc. I'll deal with him, but at least he is promoting PSI since I told him to. ANYWAYS yes, the song announcements will occur at 11pm tomorrow night, so let's hear it for some recommendations. Sorry Again.

Alicia Keys "Fallin" Celine Dion "My Heart Will Go On" (she's the only one who can sing this song) Craig David "Walking Away" Dave Matthews "The Space Between" (he's probably never gonna win a singing contest, but in this song he sounds good) Nelly Furtado "I'm Like A Bird" (it's my least favorite song from her, but if she wants to have a shot, this is the best song for that) Norah Jones "Don't Know Why" (she can show a bit more range in this than in Come Away With Me) Phil Collins "You'll Be In My Heart" Usher (any, I dont really know him)
Anyway, I'm glad Jewel made, she definitly chose the right song. I'm not happy to see Chris Cornell there, I think his peak is in the past.

PSI Daily Update:
All right guys, I know that in an hour or so you guys are expecting to find out what songs the artists are going to sing out of Group B but..........................
you're gonna have to wait until tomorrow night when you find out how the performances ended up as well. Everything you will need to know to determine your vote will be established tomorrow night about 11pm EDT. I think this will keep more suspense\excitement for the Semi-Finals. If everyone seems to like how it was last week better, so be it, we'll return to the method of announcing the songs the day before. We'll see what happens. As for me, this has been your PSI Daily Update, see you in 24 hours after eight songs have been performed, by eight 'idol' hopefuls.
Take it easy, RK.

Hey everyone, you know the drill! It's the third series of Pulse Superstar Idol. This week we will be meeting Group B performing adult contemporary hits. All eight artists have a chance to become the next Pulse Supserstar Idol, but can they hack it in tonites semi-finals? Only time will tell. Well enough with the intro, lets get to business. Unfortunately we have no guest hosts, but we do have Simon which is good enough for two bad judges. Well let's get started!
Today presenting first will be: Alicia Keys- Fallen Crowd Ranking: 3 Judges Comments:
Randy: Yeeeeah! If that's what we have going on tonight, all night, it's going to be one great night. I pity the other performers...that was great, Alicia you got it, that was hot!
Paula: Alicia, that was great. I've always loved that song and that was exactly what you needed to sing tonite.
Simon: I have to disagree with Paula.
Crowd: <booos>
Simon: What? Alicia, here's the problem. That was a pretty good performance, but what happens IF you get to the finals? You can't just keep singing Fallin, and to be honest, I really can't see you wooing any more voters with your other songs, they just aren't good enough. However, tonite....it was decent, nothing special, but good.
Seacrust: This competition is week by week, and not for the future Simon, Alicia, that was great. However, was it great enough to outlast our next artist? Well, we'll see, take it away US HER RA YM OND.....
Usher- U Got It Bad Crowd Ranking: 4 Judges Comments:
Randy: How you feeling tonight dawg? Usher: Couldn't be better
Randy: Well, I'll be honest with you. Dawg, that bored me. Crowd: <boooooooo> Randy: Really, I know it's Adult Contemporary night but I just was not feelin' it, poor song choice. I mean it was OK, I hate to compare, but not something good to follow Alicia on.
Paula: Yeah, it wasn't bad, but Usher, you know, I just know you can do better than that, but it was OK for me, hopefully you can redeem yourself next time, which I'm sure you can..
Simon: Usher......here's how it is. you sang tonight, like someone who sings on a cheap cruiseship... halfway through I imagined the ship sinking. That was a complete disaster. I'm not an idiot, I know you have #1 records, you are extremely talented, but you thought it was "halfway sing-halfway dance idol" tonite. Clearly tonite you have shown that you need a miracle to compete in the future. I hope all the fans that bought your album give you a second chance because after tonite your record will be the half-price special.
Peacrest: Yikes, well there's always tomorrow. I thought that it was great, and I'm sure the rest of the board did as well. The judge's have been tough tonite but let's see if Mrs. Deon can soften them up...
Celine Dion- The Power Of Love Crowd Rating: 2 Judges Comments:
Randy: Celine. By far the best performance we have had this competition. Thank god for Celine.
Paula: Incredible. If you don't have a chance to win this competition then I don't know who does.
Simon: Celine, great voice, great performance, bad song. The song is a bit old and stale in my opinion.
Randy: What do you want these guys to sing tonight?
Simon: Something that is not cheesy or expected. I said the perfomance was great, she just needed to select a better, more familiar song, that's all.
Seatrest: Simon, why don't you come up here and sing that. (ahahaha!)....Celine that was awesome. Well, up next, is someone who probably never imagined he would be performing after the "Power Of Love", here's Mr. Dave Matthews...
Dave Matthews- Crush Crowd Rating: 7 Judges Comments:
Randy: Dawg, that wasn't bad, I just, I don't know, I definitely did not like it, but it was aight, I see potential.
Paula: You know, it was different, a little more upbeat, and I thought it was a nice change, good job.
Simon: Dave, here's the thing. I just don't know if you are really made for this competition. Your voice is unique, and you can hit notes, but how far can you really go? Tonite, I have to say, everything about it was good, but not great. I just really don't know what else to say, I mean, I think we may have another curiosity on our hands, is that a bad thing, I'm not sure.....we'll see.
Teacrest: Well, whatever that means! Anyways, Dave, you definitely have a lot of fans and I'm sure they will be backing you up. Anyways, we're halfway through the competition, and now kicking off the second half here come's Mr. Craig David...
Craig David- Walking Away Crowd Rating: 8 Judges Comments:
Randy:Β <sigh> Craig, you know, I know AC isn't your style, but theirs gotta be something better that in Craig David. This is just not your night dawg.
Paula:Β Craig, you havea beautiful voice, use it! I didn't feel the usual vibe coming from you voice tonite, it wasn't bad.
Simon: I agree, you are Walking Away. Walking Away from this competition. Pack your bags Craig, pitiful performance tonite.
Recrest: Well, you always got the fans Craig. Up next, our sixth performer tonite comes from a little place up north called Canada. Everyone, meet Ms. Furtado....
Nelly Furtado- Powerless (Say What You Want) Crowd Rating: 1 Judges Comments:
Randy:Β Wow! That voice is going somewhere, and I think it is headed to the next round. Yeah Yeah Yeah! Yeah Dawg! I wasn't sure if you could pull this off but you did, that was great. That was HOT, wooo!
Paula: Nelly, that was great, awesome, you look great, performed great, awesome.
Simon: If I were Celine I may be a bit concerned, because you are the second person to clearly enter tonites competition in a positive way.
Seacrest: Well, things just got interesting. By that I mean Nelly's performance and hopefully the next one performed by the beautiful Norah Jones.
Norah Jones- Don't Know Why Crowd Rating: 5 Judges Comments:
Randy: Yo yo yo yo yo. The voice sounds great, you look great, the only thing I can say, maybe it wasn't so wise to sing your hit song tonite? It was good though tonite, good job.
Paula: Hey Randy, I think like all of these other guys, she wants in the finals! Worry about right now! That's what she did, and I thought it was wonderful.
Simon: The good news is, that you have a great chance at advancing to the next round, you have a good fanbase and a wonderful voice. The bad news is, I would have needed an atomic bomb to wake me to that performance. With the exception of two artists tonite, it just seems like no one really cares.
Paula: Simon, it's AC night...adult contemporary.
Simon: I think many of you are getting Adult Contemporary confused with Sleeping, it's not sleep night. If people want to fall asleep they watch Seacrest's show, not this one. Good song, but with all the other boring songs, not that unique.
Crowd: <BOOOOOOOOOOO>
Threecrest: Well ,well, Simon thinks tonite is suppose to be some kind of party, even though I don't think he is ever invited to any, (hahahaha!). Last but not least, is a classic in the making, here's England's own, Phil Collins...
Phil Collins- Take Me Home Crowd Rating: 6 Judges Comments:
Randy: I thought it was a great change tonite, I was kind of feelin' it. You sounded great, and you seemed to really be into it.
Paula: Phil, flat out, I miss the 80's, great job!
Simon: Phil, I don't think I have ever seen anyone so out of place for this competition. It's almost as out of place as you were in that rap video last year, which to this day, I still don't understand what that was all about....but I must really say, that was a good performance. The problem is, like Dave Matthews, are you meant to be here? In my opinion, we could be looking at the darkhorse out of tonite's competition, good job.
Seacrest: Well, that was great Phil, fans you know where to vote! Well that's the end of tonite's competition. Be sure to tune in on Saturday to find out who advances and who has to pack their bags on Pulse Superstar Idol. See you next week, Seacrest OUT.
<boooooooooooo>
Voting has been officially unlocked! The winners will be announced on Saturday afternoon along with Group C. Keep your imagination going....and have a good weekend.

I can't imagine who would even considering voting for Craig, he is completely out of his league, this is a very difficult group with all of the artists being very good in different ways. If I could imagine a bottom three occurred it would easily be:
1. Craig 2. Dave 3. Phil

I voted for Norah. She was the best. Alicia was good also, and I don't like that Celine song.

I think Celine is a great singer, but I don't know, she seems to be a little washed up. Just my opinion Chebingeo. By no means should people not vote for her if they want to.

I was torn between Dave and Celine (both had great performances), but in the end I had to vote for Nelly (she's so cute, even if she's a little chubbier now). :)

Is she really chubbier? I thought she looked a little "astute" a couple of months ago when she was performing Try. Too bad that song did flop. Since it's the weekend, I'll probably just let voting go until tomorrow around noon, it could bring in more voters, etc. I can always shut down voting if an overwhelming amount of you want me to. I'm aiming for over 20 votes this round so we keep growing.

Due to the weekend, the voting deadline will be extended to 11am EDT and then it will become officially locked. So if any of you are stalling so you can get your last crucial vote in, better do it now. By Noon, Group C will be announced along with the winners of Group B.

What's that suppose to mean? I could really careless who won this round, I actually like Celine, was just trying to stir up some trouble. Not to mention, she will probably dominate the Wild Card Round.
