Each season of "American Idol" there was a contestant that was generally earmarked as the favourite to win but ended up bowing out simply as a "finalist".
Who is your favourite "Idol That Never Was" and which out of the three do you think will have the most enduring and successful career?

LISA LEUSCHNER!!!!!!!
THAT GIRL WAS ROBBED!!! She sang so well in her first group (probably my favourite performance out of the top 32 shows) and then didn't get a chance on that pathetic Wildcards show.
Since she wasn't there, I picked LaToya instead. Although after watching past performances from this season many times over the past few months, I think Jennifer Hudson is starting to come up where I like them about equally... with maybe Jennifer even having the edge in terms of memorable performances.

Katie Webber should have won.

I honestly think they felt threatened that a white girl might win the competition and threw her out so that they could have an African American female win.

I liked Hudson. She would've been my pick over Fantasia any day of the week.

huh. I thought you didn't think the show was rigged? Talk out of both sides of your mouth much? Well the voters did have a chance to have her make it if they wanted to and they didn't. Then her future on the show was in the judges hands when she was invited back. Maybe not rigged, though if any part of the show can be called rigged, it would be the moments where the entire future of a person is in the judges hands.

Its an absolute joke she did not get to sing. Absolute joke. Does anyone remember a conversation someone had with Randy about the music scene at the very beginning of the year? He was talking about how r&b type music is the most popular type of music now, etc.... I wonder if they were pushing from the very beginning to have someone who COULD sing that type of music win. Latoya and Fantasia were pushed from the beginning while the amazing and talented Lisa cant even make it into the wild card round to sing (while some obviously less talented people did) I just do not understand that I know its a business...but maybe the reason why ratings and sales are dropping is because of the selection process and how the judges act. Man the judges are obnoxious as hell. (thats another rant however )

Lisa Leuschner was amazing!
I choose Latoya out of that list. I also liked Trenyce (sp?) from season 2.

Lisa's 'Sweet Thing' performance is second only to Latoya's 'All By Myself' in terms of performances in the Top 32.

Does anyone know where I can download Lisa's performance of "Sweet Thing"... it was my favourite performance of the whole season.... up there with a lot of Fantasia's and La Toya's for sure.
