Yep! I still dont know why people call 3D a flop. It contains TWO GRAMMY NOMINATED singles! :o Well when peolpe call albums fops they normally only look at it from 1 perspective and thats sales figures. they dont take ALL things into consideration. going from 10 and 15 million+ album sales to 1 million is a BIG leap BUT I look at it from the stand point that they did not try as hard after Lisas death to stay successful..it was like they put it out to finish what they started but they had next to no promotion that i can really remember(not to mention 50 cent was the hottest thing out at the time)....It also came out at a time when Arista pushed 3 commercially unsuccessful albums out back to back(toni, Whitney, TLC) and it seemed like Arista had no intention on pushing either of the albums...with that being said, I understand why Arista no longer exists. But, I love the album and i'm not concerned with how many units it sold as long as i enjoy it

Janet's been snubbed a lot. She's never won a R&B Female Vocal Performance. She has won Dance Recording, R&B Song, and Video before, but never a major category or a vocal performance award.
Also the fact that Mariah has only won twice and both in 1990 is ridiculous.

What very well could be Madonna's last good single. I know I may be in a minority, but I thought Die Another Day was excellent.

I voted for Janet.... I think Janet and Mariah Carey have gotten snubbed ALOT by the grammys... Janet easily deserved best R&b vocal performance for I Get Loney and Mariah easily deserved best pop vocal performance for Emotions and/or Fantasy. I dont understand how they can create B.S. categories and let some1 like Beyonce sweep the awards when REAL artists like Janet and Mariah are snubbed EVERY year. Also did Anyone notice how there is a best R&b song category and not a best Pop song category?

En Vogue's song has the distinction of being an incredible sing lyrically as well as vocally-- really shoulda have won.
Faith Evans is snubbed in a strange way-- other than "I'll Be Missing You", she has had a nomination every year that she's had eligible material, but never won. The worst of these was when "Can't Believe" with Carl Thomas lost to Destiny's Child for "Survivor"-- in best R&B vocal group/duo?! Outrage.
Monica was snubbed this past year with no nomination at ever; I wonder how often the #1 song at a radio format that also had critical approval, by a Grammy winner, doesn't even get NOMINATED.

I agree that Janet and Mariah have been snubbed A LOT.
They have both released MANY songs that are of the highest quality yet get looked over. Yet we have times when artists get multiple nominations when they obviously don't deserve it - more 'cos they are flavour of the year types.
The Grammy's don't have much credibility for me though, too many people get overlooked and too many people get over-rewarded.

The Grammys are such a joke. There are some legendary bands and artists out there with only a Grammy or two and Beyonce has 8 for a crap album.

Was Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" ever nominated? Also, was she also nominated for "Best New Artist" at the time?
I agree with Jewel's "Intuition" and Janet's "Together Again", although I had no idea that the latter was snubbed at all.

What exactly did Kelis say about the Grammys because on 106 and Park after the nominations came out she said she felt honored to be in a category with Outkast and Erykah Badu and was very happy to be nominated. I think what you are referring to is a rumor that started on the BET boards that had no truth to it. Kelis was lucky to even be nominated....she is 2 steps away from bein a 1 hit wonder and thats pretty sad because this is her 3rd album.

It's a joke." But this is according to Blender, and I dunno what category she was talking about.

It took Madonna a decade to get a grammy..but beyonce releases a mediocre album at best and gets numerous grammies on her first go around.

The Grammies have turned into a popularity contest.
